Kim Jong-Un Tests ‘High-Tech Weapon’ in North Korea
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has overseen the successful test of a new tactical weapon.
Further details about the “high-tech” weapon were not revealed, other than it had been created over a long period.
The news serves as North Korea’s first official weapons test report in a year.
Back in June, Kim and President Trump agreed on the denuclearization of Pyongyang.
A detailed plan after the meeting was never set out.
The report comes shortly after satellite images showed the complex network of missile bases in the peninsula.
Number of Missing People in California Camp Fire Jumps to 631
The number of missing people in California due to the deadly Camp Fire has now soared to 631.
Local authorities confirmed the missing person’s list has doubled since Thursday.
Considered as the most destructive blaze in the state, the Camp Fire has killed at least 63 people.
Almost 12,000 buildings have already been destroyed.
President Donald Trump is scheduled to travel to California on Saturday to survey the damage and meet with the affected residents.
As of this writing, 9,400 firefighters are still battling wildfires scattered across the state.
Snowstorm in New York City Leaves Many Commuters Stranded
New York City was hit by the first snowfall of the season, leaving many people stranded.
In midtown Manhattan, the Port Authority Bus Terminal became so crowded on Thursday.
Rush-hour commuters flocked to the facility, waiting for delayed buses due to the snowstorm.
Managers were forced to block travelers from entering in the late afternoon.
According to Port Authority managers, snow and ice conditions made it harder for buses to reach the upper levels of the terminal.
In New Jersey, users of the NJ Transit had to wait for more than two hours to board the train.
Beyoncé Cuts Business Ties with Philip Green
Beyoncé has decided to end her business venture with Topshop boss Sir Philip Green.
The pop star bought Green out of Ivy Park, the sportswear label they both co-founded.
Green and Beyoncé launched the brand two years ago, with the outspoken feminist and US singer as the main endorser.
News of the buyout comes weeks after Green was revealed to have taken legal action to stop publication of his alleged sexual misconduct on a staff.
When asked about the incident, Green said he “categorically and wholly” denies the allegations.
Beyoncé had dealt with mounting pressure from campaigners to drop Green from the label.
“After discussions of almost a year, Parkwood has acquired 100% of the Ivy Park brand. Topshop – Arcadia will fulfill the existing orders,” Ivy Park said in a statement.
Actress and Model Kim Porter Dead at 47
Kim Porter, who was the ex-girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs, died on Thursday.
The model/actress was 47.
“Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time,” Combs’ publicist Cyndi Berger said in a press release.
Porter was reportedly found dead in her Toluca Lake home.
No details about her death were revealed.
Combs and Porter were together for over a decade until their split in 2007.
They had one son and twin daughters together. Porter also had another son from a past relationship.
