Massive fire at Rockland County nursing home leaves at least one dead

A massive fire at an assisted-living facility in Rockland County sent the second floor of the nursing home crashing, leaving at least one resident dead and others forced to evacuate. Two firefighters were injured from the call.

Man stabbed to death on a Brooklyn street in broad daylight

According to the police, an unidentified suspect stabbed Jose Perez Rivera, 24, several times in the chest and arm at about 3 p.m. near Hart Street and Knickerbocker Avenue in Bushwick. No motive is known.
