Due to the pandemic, the film was released in theaters and on Disney+ PVOD tier on May 26, acquiring more than $222 million in overall ticket deals.

The arrival of Cruella 2 is a way off, and it’s unsure right now whether the film will be a pure theatrical release or if it will debut simultaneously in homes like the first one did.

Despite Scarlett Johansson lawsuit, the executive chairman Patrick Whitesell expressed that the Cruella sequel will protect artists and aligns studio’s interests with talent.

He also disclosed to Deadline that they are pleased to work alongside Emma and Disney and appreciate the studio’s willingness to perceive her contributions as a creative partner.

“We are hopeful that this will open the door for more members of the creative community to participate in the success of new platforms,” he added.

Right around fourteen days in the wake of hitting theaters in May 2021, Disney affirmed the film will have a development. A Disney representative told People that they were extremely satisfied with Cruella’s success, related to its solid Disney+ Premier Access execution to date.

Me if I don’t see Emma Stone with 101 Dalmatians in Cruella 2

#Cruella #emmastone was awesome @Disney did a great job mapping this one out and dragging us on a journey. I enjoyed her history but #cruella2 needs to give us an introduction of Pongo and Perdi at least at end or something and then 3 can be 101 Dalmatians
