Mae Whitman Proud and Happy to Come Out
Mae Whitman is now out and pleased as she affirmed her sexuality on Twitter.

The Good Girls actress, Mae Whitman, tweeted an appreciation post regarding on her queer-friendly Disney Channel show “The Owl House.”

“Just taking a moment to say I am SO proud to be even a small part of a show like The Owl House. Being pansexual myself, I wish I had such incredible characters like Amity and Luz in my life when I was growing up. Queer representation is sososo important :,) keep it up world! #TOH”

She continued with educating people what pansexual means and linked a GLAAD resource on bisexuality.

“I know ppl might be unfamiliar with what pansexual means; for me it means I know I can fall in love with people of all genders,” she added.

“This is the word that fits me best and I’m proud+happy to be part of the Bi+ community :,)”

Looking back in Whitman’s Glamour Interview in 2014, she said, “I just like people. I like everyone. I see so much wonderful potential in everyone that I meet, and there’s always something to learn from.”

“I think girls are attractive, I think boys are attractive, I think old people are attractive, I think young people are. I appreciate everything and everyone.”

The Owl House has gotten acclaim for its LGBTQ+ portrayal through Amity and Luz Noceda which was made by Dana Terrace for Disney Channel and it made history by by depicting Disney’s first sexually open lead character. Mae Whitman voices a lesbian witch named Amity Blight.
