The Speech Biden Should Have Given as said by Jocko
Over a viral video, US President Joe Biden faces another backlash after the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
On Instagram, retired Navy SEAL Jocko Willink posed as Biden and discussed the impact of troop withdrawal on Afghanistan and what can be done to rectify this mishap.
The black-and-white video shows Willink speaking confidently, totally invested in every word he utters. During the pretend speech, he admitted making “critical errors” and said he was responsible for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
“I made some critical errors, namely: I underestimated the strength of the Taliban, and I overestimated the strength and capability of the friendly Afghan forces.”
“This was my fault,” Willink further said.
He also acknowledged that Americans and other allies are still stranded in Afghanistan, but “they will not be for long.”
Afterward, he outlines how the United States will be able to evacuate both its citizens and refugees.
“In the next 48 hours, America will be in control of most major airports in Afghanistan,” Willink said. “Any resistance we meet from the Taliban or otherwise—when we seize these airports—will be destroyed completely and without mercy.”
He assured that “rapid strike rescue missions” would be launched once the airports are under control to evacuate US citizens and allies.
“Any person who interferes with these operations will be killed,” said Willink.
Moreover, according to him, US equipment will be taken back or destroyed, including vehicles, aircraft, and weapons left behind.
“Any person utilizing, guarding, or located in close proximity to these weapons or equipment will be killed.”
When these have been accomplished, US troops will depart Afghanistan. However, the US should not let its guard down and should keep a close eye on the Taliban even after the rescue mission is over.
“We will continue that dedicated support until the enemy is no longer a threat to humanity or to good people of Afghanistan.”
