Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther Co-Star Lupita Nyong’o shares a heartfelt tribute on his one-year passing commemoration.
Black Panther actor died from colon cancer at the age of 43 after a private years-long battle, August 28 marked his one-year anniversary. Lupita posted a touching tribute on her social media account.

“One year after his passing, the memory of @chadwickboseman remains this alive in me,” Lupita captioned under of photo of them sharing a laugh in a hallway.

Josh Gad also shared his own tribute to the actor on Twitter whom he worked with in 2017’s Marshall and how it still hurts, “Not a day goes by one year later, where it doesn’t still hurt. “

“But in the darkness, he always reminds us of the light. He was an angel on this planet and is now a Saint on high.” He then ended the tweet by saying, “Love you and miss you more than ever… forever. #ChadwickBoseman.”

Chadwick’s group affirmed his passing through an Instagram post, “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.”

“Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.”

“A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy,” they continued.

“It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” the film where Lupita and Chadwick worked together and built their friendship.

The sequel of the said film entitled, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is set for wild release on July 8, 2022.
