The artist recently appeared as the guest host on the show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night in a segment he called “Gayer News.”
The Drag Queen addressed Mike Richards’ controversial exit from Jeopardy! subsequent to offering unseemly remarks about ladies and playfully, Mama Ru volunteered to take him.
“And finally, ‘Jeopardy!’ is still seeking a new host after producer Mike Richards stepped away from the job last week,” the eight-time Emmy-winner and 2021 nominee, said.
“Sources say the show is now looking for someone with poise, authority and natural intelligence. In gayer news, I’m right here, bitch!”
Mike Richard apologized for the comments he made on an old podcast which received massive backlash online, “It is humbling to confront a terribly embarrassing moment of misjudgment, thoughtlessness, and insensitivity from nearly a decade ago.”
“Looking back now, there is no excuse, of course, for the comments I made on this podcast, and I am deeply sorry,” the previous host added.
In a note to Sony staffers, Richards stated, “As I mentioned last week, I was deeply honored to be asked to host the syndicated show and was thrilled by the opportunity to expand my role… However, over the last several days it has become clear that moving forward as host would be too much of a distraction for our fans and not the right move for the show.”
“As such, I will be stepping down as host effective immediately. As a result, we will be canceling production today.” He might venture down as a host, yet he still has a Jeopardy! work as he will stay on as an executive producer.
Reactions to RuPaul To Become The Next Jeopardy! Host
I love the game show, Jeopardy. But if RuPaul even guest hosts, I won’t be watching even one more episode. Most viewers are intelligent, conservative, older people. Jeopardy will cease to exist if RuPaul hosts. Keep that thing away from Jeopardy!— TradyMcTraderson (@stonkingbeast) August 28, 2021
