“SURPRISE!” he captioned images from the pregnancy photo shoot. “I can’t believe i’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy ‘MONTERO’ is due September 17, 2021.”
The vocalist is wearing a white streaming robe with a cream rose bloom crown, while supporting his “baby bump” in an over-the-top photoshoot.
As per PEOPLE’s report, the inspiration behind it was Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on their new song “Dolla Sign Slime,” for the first time.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is amazing,’ so I immediately called my stylist,” he says. “She was like, ‘Wow, this all comes together. Your album. Your baby.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, this is my baby, huh?’ As a joke, she was like, ‘Yeah, you should do a pregnancy shoot.'”
“I was like, ‘You know what? That’s actually brilliant,'” he continues. “So now we have this entire thing coming out, and it’s going to be amazing.”
Aside from the pregnancy photoshoot, he surprises the fans more by announcing several of the music’s biggest names he will be featuring on his upcoming album— including Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John, Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus and Jack Harlow.
Lil Nas X rose to fame in December of 2019 after his first country-rap song, “Old Town Road,” turned into a web sensation on TikTok. After four months, he collaborated with Billy Ray Cyrus to disclose a remixed form. The song turned into the longest-running number-one single in the US, going through an astounding 19 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.
