Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ efforts in promoting monoclonal antibody treatment received praises as recipients attest to its effectiveness.

At a press conference on Wednesday, DeSantis addressed the pervasiveness of monoclonal antibodies in Florida as a preventative measure against COVID-19.

“In Florida now, we have over 40,000 individuals who have been treated at our 21 state sites throughout the month of August, mostly the last couple weeks of August,” the Governor said.

“Now we’re looking at having seen COVID hospital admissions declined by over 20%. We have seen a reduction in the COVID-positive patients in hospitals. The census is down,” he added, implying the high success rate of monoclonal antibodies.

Proving the validity of his claim, the people who have undergone the treatment willingly shared their testimonies regarding the positive results they have experienced. Among them is Pauline Becker, a senior citizen claiming her health improved after receiving the treatment.

“When I got to the hospital, I have a very, very good doctor, and he immediately gave me the treatment for five days. After the second day, I felt remarkably better,” the 90-year-old lady said.

According to her, the monoclonal antibodies were beneficial, so she encouraged the public to take the opportunity: “I recommend that everybody take advantage of it because it definitely helps you.”

Another recipient praised DeSantis’ initiative to administer a program offering such an expensive treatment, with a commendable efficacy rate, be free of charge for the people.

“I am very thankful for the governor making this program available,” said the recipient gratefully.

Meanwhile, Florida congressman and surgeon Neal Dunn expressed his gratitude toward the Governor and urged patients to seek the treatment without hesitation.

“I want to thank Governor DeSantis once again for aggressively deploying this therapy in Florida ahead of everybody else…If you have any symptoms and you test positive, go get the monoclonal antibody treatment,” he promoted.

The positive feedback doesn’t seem to end there as Florida lieutenant governor Jeanette Núñez bears witness to the healing the treatment has brought to her loved ones. According to the lieutenant governor, her mother and aunt recovered without complications from monoclonal antibodies administered against COVID-19.

“These monoclonal antibodies are preventing severe illness, they are reducing hospitalization, and quite frankly, they are saving lives,” she said.

Hence, Governor DeSantis constantly highlights the importance of monoclonal antibody treatment with every chance he gets.
