Deon Estus was probably best known as the bass player for Wham! and for his work on the track “Heaven Help Me” for which Michael supplied backing vocals. It was released from his only album, titled Spell in 1989 and became the biggest hit as it placed No. 5 on Billboard Hot 100 single. It also peaked at No. 3 on both the Adult Contemporary and Hot R&B charts.

I LOVED this song from the first time I heard the Bass line way back in 1989. When I started playing the Bass a few yrs ago I put this song on my “Gotta learn to play this!” list. "Heaven Help Me" by Deon Estus is 1 of the most beautiful songs to me. May he Rest In Peace 🙏🏾💜🕊🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/uSSWQQ5zgq— stephanie l. ogle (@soulsis69) October 12, 2021
