After Britney's conservatorship ended on Friday afternoon, Gaga was one of several celebrities and fans who expressed their support for her.
Renowned singer and songwriter Lady Gaga, uploaded a selfie of herself with the 39-year-old Toxic singer one day after Judge Brenda Penny ruled in Britney’s favor to recover authority over her own money, personal life, and medical decisions.
“I looked up to her, admired her strength—she empowered so many people and still does,” the “House of Gucci” star captioned. “I couldn’t be more happy for you today. You never deserved what happened, Thank God 4 today you’re a superstar and a super-human being I LOVE YOU.”
On Saturday, while attending the red-carpet premiere of the film “House of Gucci” in Milan, Gaga, who has previously stated that she suffers from mental health concerns, including trauma from a sexual attack by a music producer when she was only 19, spoke to Reuters about Spears.
“She is wildly talented, she is incredibly inspirational and I am just so happy that we get to celebrate today, that she gets to embark on a new phase of her life,” she said.
Spears herself also celebrated the ruling on her social media, posting a video of her fans and supporters rejoicing the end of her conservatorship.
