Dakota Lohan, the actress’ brother, reshared his sister’s post on Instagram Story on the same day sayung, “I’m not crying, you’re crying.”
Shammas is a Credit Suisse Assistant Vice President in Dubai, where Lohan has lived for the last seven years. According to The Independent, they’ve been dating for two years and was first spotted out as a couple in early 2020.
In a statement to TMZ, the actress’ father, Michael Lohan, also expressed his own feelings about the engagement news, “Based on what’s been released by Lindsay so far, all I’ll say is that I’m so happy for her and Bader, and proud of all she’s doing in life. Bader is a wonderful guy and a great influence on her life. God bless them.”
The “Mean Girls” star, who was previously engaged to Egor Tarabasov until their 2016 breakup, has been preparing to return to the big screen. Lindsay will play with Glee’s Chord Overstreet in a new Netflix holiday romantic comedy, which was unveiled earlier this year.
According to the official film longline acquired by US Magazine, she portrays a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress who develops amnesia following a skiing accident.” In the days coming up to Christmas, she “finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter.”
Lindsay posted the first shot from the set on Instagram earlier this month, raving about her new role as she composed, “Back at work and couldn’t be happier! Action! 🎥 🍿🎬🥰.”
