Johnny Depp’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Amber Heard Has Subpoenaed James Franco To Testify

Franco Has Been Served Papers To Appear In Court

Surveillance video of the actor visiting Heard led to his participation.

James Franco, who confessed to sleeping with his acting students earlier this week, is served with a subpoena by Johnny Depp’s lawyers in order to testify whether he had an illicit affair with Amber Heard when she was still married to Depp.

During the making of “The Adderall Diaries” in 2015, Depp accused Heard of sleeping with her co-star, Franco. His lawyers also want to talk with the actor to see whether he ever saw any of Heard’s claimed facial injuries.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star issued the subpoena after security footage shows James entering an elevator with Heard, barely 24 hours after they had a brawl in which Heard claimed Depp had given her a black eye.

Depp is suing Heard in Virginia for an op-ed she published in the Washington Post in 2018 in which she represented herself as a victim of domestic abuse. Although she never mentioned Depp by name, he feels it was clear that Heard was referring to him as the abuser to which Depp has denied.

“I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out,” she said in the December 2018 column, which did not specifically identify the Pirates of the Caribbean star.

According to Depp’s lawsuit, he was the victim of a “elaborate hoax” perpetrated by Heard in order to get favorable press and boost her career, as it claims, “Ms. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse; she is a perpetrator.”

Heard retaliated with a gruesome 300-page declaration of her own, detailing the “horrific” abuse she alleges she endured at the hands of Depp, referring to him as ‘the monster,’ and reiterating many of the charges she made during their divorce.

Photos of bruises and scars, clumps of hair seemingly pulled off Heard’s scalp, and broken up furniture were included in the file to show the abuse she reportedly faced after hooking up with Depp, her co-star in The Rum Diary, in 2011.

The 12-day trial is scheduled to begin on April 11, 2022 in Fairfax County, Virginia.

she has a type.

@ACadouglas

I don’t think he’s in any position to be protecting an abusive fling if his rn tbh

@GellertDepp

And he's been in a chatty mood lately

@AuroraMignon

Just ignore the fact that they were in JD’s private elevator that ONLY went to JD’s penthouses. Also ignore that AH said she was CONTROLLED at ALL times by JD. Weird how she escaped ‘control’ to chill in JD’s elevator with the strangely lost JF. Tell the truth dude.

@danblock4

What a nice Christmas present. 😏

@lynaem88

Actually, I have a feeling the focus of his deposition will have more to do with whether he really saw any bruises on Heard's face here and if that's the conversation they were having next night after the alleged incident, as she testified.
