Singer Bebe Rexha Addresses Her Weight Problems

According to the artist, she is at the heaviest weight of her life.

Around the holidays, Bebe Rexha uploaded an emotional video on her problem with body image, revealing that she doesn’t feel at ease in her own skin.

In a video posted to TikTok on Monday, the “Me, Myself & I” singer said, “So it is the holidays and I know we’re all supposed to be, like, merry and like, ‘Yay, it’s the holidays,’ which I am … ish.”

“I think I am the heaviest I have ever been. I weighed myself just now and I don’t feel comfortable sharing the weight ’cause I feel embarrassed.”

“I just feel disgusting, you know, like in my own body,” Rexha, whose actual name is Bleta Rexha, continued through tears and added that she hasn’t wanted to share as much on Instagram or TikTok because she’s been feeling awful about her weight.

“I don’t feel good in my skin, and when I don’t feel good, I don’t want to post, and that’s really honestly the reason I haven’t been posting in the last year or so as much as I used to.”

Rexha also stated that her difficulty with body image stems from “a place of hurt and confusion” about how to assist herself, admitting that she also has trouble loving herself.

The artist has a history of using social media to spread body-positive messages to her followers. She used TikTok in June to post a video of herself in sultry lingerie, encouraging viewers to “normalize” women who weigh 165 pounds.

She openly flaunted her stretch marks while posing in a swimsuit on Instagram back in December 2019 and often slams body shamers. In August 2019, she lambasted a male executive who told her she was too old to publish seductive images.
