What a terrible way to begin the year 2022.
On Saturday morning, Kodak Black, whose actual name is Bill Kapri, was arrested in his hometown of Pompano Beach, Florida, on a trespassing allegation.
TMZ reported that while he was there, officers arrived and took Kodak into jail, accusing him of violating a notice issued by the local Housing Authority. He was later released after posting bond and was out of jail by Saturday evening.
Cohen further believes the arrest was unlawful since the C&D never made it to Kodak, implying that it was not properly served because it was mailed to his record label rather than him directly. Second, he claims that the letter makes no mention of not entering the premises, thus it shouldn’t have been used as a reason for any arrest.
Legal trouble is not new for the rapper since he has been detained multiple times. In April 2021, he pled guilty to molesting a young girl in a hotel room in South Carolina in 2016, earning a 10-year suspended sentence and 18-month probation.
