‘RHOSLC’ Star Jennie Nguyen Fired By Bravo After Allegedly Racist Post

What a way to cap off your time as a reality star.

Due to indignation over a number of recent controversial social media remarks, Jennie Nguyen will no longer be a cast member on Bravo’s popular reality show, according to a statement published on Tuesday by the network.

The network admitted in an Instagram post that it neglected to take action when some of Jennie’s inflammatory postings surfaced, but executives have said that she will no longer be shooting on “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”

“We recognize we failed to take appropriate action once her offensive social media posts were brought to our attention. Moving forward, we will work to improve our processes to ensure we make better informed and more thoughtful casting decisions.”

When her Facebook postings from 2020 started to reappear on social media, the now-former real housewife came under criticism. Jennie re-shared and uploaded a slew of photographs and memes during the Black Lives Matter marches, which some interpreted as a heavy toll on Black Americans.

“BLM Thugs” and “Violent Gangs” were among the slogans used in memes and images shared by the real housewives.

Other housewives have spoken out against Jennie’s postings, and Andy Cohen, the talk show host and executive producer, has also spoken out, calling the posts “upsetting” and “disgusting.” All of them has unfollowed her on Instagram.

Filming for “RHOSLC” Season 3 started before the allegations, according to several sources acquired by Page Six, close to the production, and Nguyen was part of the initial cast.

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
