Dreyer joined cohosts Morgan Radford and Peter Alexander outside the studio in York City’s Saturday winter storm conditions as they revealed Dreyer’s last day on the weekend news show.
The meteorologist has been reporting for Today on weekends for over a decade, and she was given a fitting sendoff on Saturday with a touching video montage of her time on the said show.

“It’s really bittersweet to step away. I want to say thank you to everyone at weekend “Today” who actually gave me a chance on the show,” Dreyer said, adding that she doesn’t want to go but that she can’t handle six days a week any more.

Dylan’s best moments on TODAY were recorded in the video montage, which included footage showcasing her athletic skills, a few goofy pictures with her TODAY family, and some milestone occasions like two of her three pregnancy announcements.

“You know, I’m just watching that and looking back — I started in September in 2012 and I got married in October, so in the time I’ve been on Weekend Today, I’ve gotten married and I’ve had three sons,” she commented after viewing the montage.

“It really is incredible just to look back and think of the things I’ve been through, and not to mention everything I’ve done on the show.”

“I wish I could wake up on my own pace. Even today, as soon as I’m done here,” Dreyer answered when asked how she hopes to spend her free Saturdays in the future by presenter Morgan Radford. “I’m going to go home and probably make pancakes for the boys.”

“It’s all about family time. This job can get crazy especially when we’re traveling and we’re busy, but it’s so important to make time for family, too.”

“These boys are my whole life and Brian and I, we love being a team on weekends and spending as much time as we can with them and having as much fun as we can,” the anchor continued. “That’s really all I’m going to be doing, just sitting at home and just loving up on those three.”

After departing NBC’s Boston station WHDH-TV in 2012, Dreyer joined “Today,” and following a four-month maternity hiatus, she returned to the program lately.
