Kid Cudi Responds To Kanye West’s Statement That He Will Not Be In ‘Donda 2’

There's now a lot of talk regarding who will or won't be on "Donda 2" in the future.

Kid Cudi will not appear on Kanye West’s upcoming 11th studio album “Donda 2,” according to a handwritten note posted on Instagram on Saturday.

“Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you-know-who,” the 22-time Grammy winner wrote. “We all speak in Billie language now.”

Kid Cudi then responded to his statements in the comments section which reads, “Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u….. dinosaur. hahah. everyone knows ive been the best thing about ur albums since I met u. ima pray for u brother.”

His additional response was posted on Twitter as well, “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.”

Pete Davidson, who is dating Kim Kardashian’s ex-wife, looks to be a reference in West’s remark addressed at Cudi. They have been friends for a few years now, going back to the time Davidson attended a birthday dinner that included Kanye West and Timothee Chalamet, among others.

Cudi’s first album Man on the Moon: The End of Day, released in 2009, has been praised for helping the comic get through difficult circumstances. In 2016, Davidson declared on The Breakfast Club, “He saved my life. I would have killed myself if I didn’t have Kid Cudi.”

The final line of his post is also a direct allusion to his current spat with Billie Eilish, whom he sought an apology for a rumored attack on Travis Scott.

“COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM,” he demanded at that time.

“Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan,” Eilish replied in response. This was when the singer halted her show over the weekend to assist a fan who was having difficulties breathing as she said onstage, “I wait for people to be okay before I keep going.”

This is another time Ye has distanced himself from an artist following his dispute with Drake, who he’s now friends with after they’ve worked out their differences.
