These two will have to fight it out in court once again.

Brad Pitt is suing Angelina Jolie over a business deal she made with Chateau Miraval, the Correns, France vineyard they bought as a couple and then sold to Russian businessman Yuri Shefler.

Pitt claims they pledged that neither of them would sell their portion of the Château — where they married in 2014 — or its lucrative vineyard without the other’s permission. However, although the vineyard became “Pitt’s passion,” Jolie allegedly sold her portion to Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler without his approval, according to the lawsuit.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 58-year-old actor asks the court to overturn a deal Jolie signed that gave her stake to Tenute del Mondo, a Stoli Group company run by Shefler, and to pay him damages for the transaction.

He further revealed that he and Jolie bought the vineyard for $28.4 million in 2008, with her putting down around 40% of the money (about $11.36 million).

Near the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur area of southern France, the Miraval estate is situated in the hamlet of Correns. The 35-room estate is surrounded by exquisite grounds that include a moat, fountains, aqueducts, a pond, a church, and a vineyard in which Pitt claims to have put a significant sum of money.

Jolie subsequently filed for divorce in September 2016, resulting in a multi-front court struggle that has lasted until 2022 including child custody and their considerable assets.
Last July, the actress appeared in court and informed the judge that she had struck a deal to sell her share of the company to an undisclosed third party. Pitt claims that he consented to let her pursue the sale in September, however made it abundantly clear that he was not agreeing to the sale, but would instead give the possible buyer a thumbs up or down.

In October, the film producer revealed that a firm named Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of the Stoli Group, a vodka corporation run by Russian tycoon Yuri Shefler, had purchased her stake in the winery.

“Unfortunately, this is another example of the same person disregarding her legal and ethical obligations,” a source close to the actor told the publication. “In doing so, she has violated the rights of the only person who poured money and sweat equity into the success of the business by purporting to sell both the business and family home to a third-party competitor.”

“She is seeking a return on an investment she did not make and profits she did not earn,” the insider went on to say. He demands the court to throw out the arrangement and award him damages.

When contacted by several media sites, Jolie’s lawyers and a representative did not immediately respond.

Reactions to Angelina Jolie Being Sued By Brad Pitt For Selling Her Winery Interest To A Russian Oligarch

BRAD PITT PLEASE LEAVE ANGELINA JOLIE ALONE or i’ll have to intervene

Brad Pitt is such a toxic person.. &&& somehow Angelina jolie is still being termed as the "evil one"

what a pathetic way to say "i don't have a life i want you back" pls he can't really let her go 😭

So he's not claiming any responsibility for HIS Make It Right project and not doing anything for victims but he's immediately taking action just because Angelina Jolie sold her OWN shares? Abusive, arrogant piece of shit.

What exactly brad pitt want from angelina jolie? Stay there and sell wine with him? Didn't their marriage end because he was an alcoholic? Suing her for selling something of her own is not an act that a healthy person can do.

can't stand his 4ss

I’m sure there was also an “understanding” that you wouldn’t abuse your children but look how that turned out

This passive-aggressive bullshit is making me hate Brad and his management

He is so annoying my god, how did Angelina even put up with him these years?

What exactly does he hope to gain from this? He's going to lose; verbal agreements don't hold up in court. Plus, suing the mother of your children is just a bad PR move.
