Sam Hunt’s Wife Hannah Lee Fowler Files For Divorce Following Adultery Allegations

She has chosen to dissolve their 5-year marriage.

Hannah Lee Fowler, the wife of country singer Sam Hunt, has filed for divorce only months before she is scheduled to give birth to their first child, according to Tennessee court records quoted by PEOPLE and other publications.

Fowler alleged Hunt of “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery,” while seeking “transitional alimony, rehabilitative alimony, and alimony in the future,” primary custody, and child support for their soon-to-be-born baby. “[Fowler believes] that all hopes of reconciliation are exhausted,” the docs additionally state.

The documentation also reveals that Fowler is pregnant and due in May, despite the fact that they hadn’t formally announced it. In July, Hunt told KISS Country 99.9 Miami’s TC & Dina radio show that he and Fowler had “seriously” contemplated having children.

“I hope so. We’ve been talking about it for a while, but we’ve really started thinking about it seriously here these past few months, so that’s on the agenda right now,” he shared at that time. “And I’m hoping that we’ll have some good news sooner than later.”

After a ten-year on-again, off-again relationship, the pair got engaged in January 2017 and tied the knot in April of same year, in their hometown of Cedartown, Georgia.

The country singer first album Montevallo was inspired by the duo’s bumpy route to romance, however he subsequently apologized to Fowler in the lyrics of “Drinkin’ Too Much” for invading her privacy.

The couple was set to commemorate their fifth wedding anniversary in April, and the country singer paid homage to his wife on Instagram in celebration of their four-year anniversary in 2021. “How it started,” he captioned a black-and-white photo of them smiling backstage. “How its going. Happy Anniversary!”
