Congratulations to the couple on becoming parents to their first child!

Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney welcomed their first child in L.A. County. The news was initially reported by TMZ. The actual date, gender, and even name of the newborn have yet to be revealed to the public.

The Hunger Games alum initially ignited pregnancy speculations last summer when she was spotted in New York City. She subsequently confirmed the pregnancy news in September 2021, and the first photographs of her baby bump leaked the next day.

The couple initially began dating in 2018 after they were purportedly set up by her dearest companion, Laura Simpson and tied the knot in a lovely ceremony in Newport, Rhode Island, about two years ago, with 150-guest incorporated a ritzy list of big names like Emma Stone, Kris Jenner, Cameron Diaz, Adele, Amy Schumer, and many more.

In November, Lawrence said to Vanity Fair that she wanted to keep the life of her kid discreet. “If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, ‘Oh, my God, you’re expecting a baby,’ I wouldn’t be like, ‘God, I can’t talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho! ’”she explained at that time.

“But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can. I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence. And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”

She has also made it clear that she couldn’t want anything more, than to begin a family, revealing to Diane Sawyer in 2015, “I definitely want to be a mother.” The following year, she imparted to Glamor that she envisions she’ll have children “and then my whole life will just seem complete.”

Back in October, the actress was photographed next to Amy Schumer while taking part in the Women’s March fight at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C. In the photo, the comic held up a sign that peruses, “Abortion is essential.” Lawrence on the other hand, conveyed a banner as well saying, “Women’s can’t be free if they can’t control their bodies.”

“I don’t have a uterus and she is pregnant but we out here @womensmarch @plannedparenthood #rallyforabortionjustice 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼,” Schumer wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

A representative for the actress or couple has yet to respond to requests for comment from news organizations.
