She's been seeing a variety of experts for therapy, but she didn't say what kind of cancer she has or what stage it is.

Mia Thornton, a newbie to “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” stated on Friday that she received a call from her doctor last week about some test results that indicated she has been diagnosed with cancer.

“Same time last week, Doc called at 7:31am — Mia I’m so sorry but your test results came back,” Thornton wrote alongside a selfie, adding, “I need you to go to Johns Hopkins Cancer Center today.”

“You can only imagine the overwhelming amount of emotion [husband Gordon Thornton] and I endured trying to figure out why. However, even with such terrible news, I felt an extreme amount of peace and energy instilled that allowed me to remain strong,” the real housewife stated.

“I’ve been in and out of visits to specialists every day and the storm is not over but this experience is changing me. I know God has a plan and I know we are often challenged to remain humbled that tomorrow is not promised and that our days on this earth are numbered.”

“A message from my heart. A gentle reminder to Live, Love & Forgive as if today was your last. Be great Kings & Queens 🤍,” the Bravo star concluded her post.

Housewives from other franchises expressed their love and encouragement for their network acquaintance. Starting with her co-star, Robyn Dixon, “Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong mama.”

“Prayers and healing to you beautiful,” said Drew Sidora, a newcomer from ‘RHOA.’ Shereé Whitfield from the same franchise likewise commented, “Keeping u in my prayers!!”

Tamra Judge of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” remarked, “Prayers beautiful.” Eboni K. Williams, a newcomer to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” added two prayer hands and two love emojis as well.

Bravo presently can’t seem to restore The Real Housewives of Orange County for a seventh season. Thornton joined the show in its sixth season which came to finish with a four-part finale in November 2021.
