She dispels rumors and talks candidly about her career on Bravo.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Kandi Burruss is the only original cast member left. During her interview with ET’s Nischelle Turner, she addresses rumors surrounding her departure from the show and predictions that she would be replaced by Jeannie Mai.
Turner paid a visit to Burruss at her family’s Old Lady Gang restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, which serves as the setting for Kandi & the Gang, Burruss’ new RHOA spinoff. Despite the reality star’s confirmation as a member of the Season 14 cast, there has been a lot of conjecture about her leaving.
“I didn’t understand. I don’t know who makes these rumors up,” the real housewife stated. “I think somebody secretly wants to get rid of me or something. I’m like, ‘Too late. I already filmed season 14.'”
Kenya Moore, Drew Sidora, Marlo Hampton, Sheree Whitfield, and newcomer Sanya Richards-Ross join her on the show. Burruss has made it clear that she will not be leaving anytime soon. Jeannie Mai was also said to have been brought in to take her position.
The 43-year-old wife of rapper Jeezy has just joined “The Real” as an Emmy-winning co-host. “Now here’s the thing, I’m cool with Jeannie and I love her. So, please, I would love for her to come on. Like for the next [season].”
“I don’t know if somebody wants her to come through,” she continued. “I mean, it would be great to see her. I would love for her to be a part… We’re friends, so let me be the one to bring her on.”
