The trial is now in its third week, and Depp is still being cross-examined by the prosecution.
During their opening arguments, her lawyer displayed the Milani Cosmetics All In One Correcting Kit and claimed, “This was what she used. She became very adept at it.”
“You’re going to hear the testimony from Amber about how she had to mix the different colors for the different days of the bruises as they developed in the different coloring and how she would use to touch those up to be able to cover those.”
Milani was then notified of the accusation and later shared a video on TikTok with the caption, “You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017! 👀”
“Take note: alleged abuse was around 2014-2016, got divorced 2016, makeup palette release date: December 2017,” an additional caption reads over the video.
The aforementioned video clip shows a young woman holding a product brochure, which she has turned to the page that describes the cosmetics compact.
The camera then goes across to a slide that clearly says that the product was introduced in 2017. In the comments, the brand wrote, “We are here to provide the facts of the case.”
Witnesses for Depp’s side also claim they never observed any marks on Amber, even when she “wasn’t wearing makeup.” Her defense team, on the other hand, claims they had no way of knowing whether she was wearing cosmetics or not, and that their evidence doesn’t establish either way.
The former couple met on the set of their 2011 film “The Rum Diary” prior to getting married in 2015. Amber sought legal separation the next year, lighting a continuous fight in court between the two that has played out openly.
Later, the “Aquaman” actress released an article in 2018 on her childhood experiences with abuse, which she recounted long before her marriage to Depp, writing, “I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out.”
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter back in March 2019, Depp eventually filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit over her article, which includes no mention of him despite the fact that it was clear she was referencing the actor in the piece.
The docs claim that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star was the victim of a “elaborate hoax” perpetrated by Heard in order to get favorable press and boost her career, as it says, “Ms. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse; she is a perpetrator.”
The trial, which is presently ongoing in Virginia’s Fairfax County Circuit Court and now in its third week, has already detailed a number of events that allegedly occurred throughout their troubled relationship.

Amber Heard’s team said in court that she covered up bruises from Johnny Depp’s alleged abuse by carrying a Milani colour correcting & concealer palette in her purse all the time. The palette was released in 2017 a year after she made her claims 😭— Tristan (@princetrisy) April 22, 2022
We live in a deeply deeply unserious society and I’m scared…why was that young woman running to the court house with evidence to use against amber heard while watching the case…the evidence being a tik tok video from milani that’s been disproved— the first ethical h8er (@exblasian) April 23, 2022
didn’t have milani cosmetics calling out amber heard on my 2022 bingo card— gabby (@gabbyventurino) April 22, 2022
Looking forward to Amber Heard having to explain the jury how she mixed the shades of a milani palette that didn't exist until 2017 to cover her "bruises"— Ang_Xim (@Lifeisabirdsong) April 23, 2022
Losing my mind at the fact that Amber Heard's lawyers said she was abused so much that she had Milani's Correcting Kit on her at all times to cover up her bruises and MILANI COSMETICS themselves came out and said that their correcting kit wasn't launched until after the divorce pic.twitter.com/soqgyv9AGz— 𝒮.
