The accusations came right when she was reaching the peak of her career.

Zara Phythian, who co-starred with Benedict Cumberbatch in “Doctor Strange,” and her husband Victor Marke are accused of grooming a 13-year-old girl and engaging in sexual activity with her.

According to the girl, the pair recorded most of the abuse to replicate sexual situations; she is now an adult. All of the charges against the couple are denied, as reported by BBC.

The victim additionally gave a police interview at Nottingham Crown Court, detailing the sexual offenses that occurred before the two tied the knot.

She was asked whether she wanted to play a game of ‘dare’ by Zara, who then handed her an alcoholic drink. The actress later performed an oral s*x on her husband and invited the victim to participate.

“I knew it was wrong but I just didn’t know how to get out of the situation or say anything,” she told the authorities. “I remember trying to copy Zara’s reaction at the time because I looked up to her and tried to be like her in every way.”

Zara also made the child feel as if she was being “coached” to improve her sexual activities. Victor, a high-level martial arts and Taekwondo teacher, had intercourse with her roughly 20 times on different dates, she claimed.

He also threatened to shatter her kneecaps if she informed anybody. “He just said nobody would believe me if I told them anyway,” she added. “They always had a power over me.”

They are now facing 14 accusations of sexual conduct. Her spouse is also facing four further accusations of indecently abusing a child, all of which stem from a complaint from another woman. The case is still being heard.
