Is Travis Scott’s First Festival Performance After The Astroworld Tragedy Set To Take Place?

Travis Scott Is Gearing Up For A Festival Comeback

He's most likely prepared to perform in front of a crowd of over 100,000 people.

This autumn, Travis Scott will headline his first music event since the Astroworld tragedy in Houston, which claimed the lives of ten people and wounded hundreds more.

On Wednesday, the Primavera Festival, which will take place in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina, announced its schedule for some of its 2022 events, confirming that the rapper would perform in October and November in Buenos Aires, Santiago, and So Paulo.

Even though he will not be playing in Los Angeles, Barcelona, or Porto, it has been announced that he will appear in So Paulo on November 6, 2022, one day after the tragedy’s first anniversary.
Aside from Travis, Lorde, Arctic Monkeys, Björk, Charli XCX, The Pixies, Jack White, Interpol, Phoebe Bridgers, and Japanese Breakfast will all perform.

According to TMZ, the event is being staged for the first time in South America (it has previously been hosted in Barcelona), and over 200,000 people are expected to attend.

Other festival performances by the rapper after Astroworld, such as Coachella, where he was set to join Kanye West, who dropped out two weeks earlier, have been canceled thus far.

However, Scott delivered his first public performance at a private pre-Oscars home party in Bel Air, California, singing his famous song, “Sicko Mode.”

He recently released his first new song entitled “Hold That Heat,” which collaborates with Future and producer Southside.

The group also released a new music video along with their new track. He can initially be spotted in a corridor, clutching a metal chain around an alligator’s neck, which remains throughout the clip.

As of late January, the almost 2,800 victims who have filed over 400 lawsuits against him and Live Nation in connection with the music festival catastrophe have been consolidated into one case.

The plaintiffs demand billions of dollars in damages and argue that the music event was planned and managed negligently.

The Texas Task Force on Concert Safety has also released a report on the catastrophe. The task group blamed the disaster on an “inconsistent” permitting procedure across Texas and a lack of event security training and communication.
