Luann de Lesseps And Sonja Morgan Will Have Their Own Show

This comes after Bravo revealed that RHONY will be rebooted.

“The Real Housewives of New York City” stars Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan have signed a deal to star in their own program, which will begin production in July.

Sources close to the production acquired by Page Six stated that it will be “Simple Life”-style for the time being because the show has yet to be titled, but the television program will feature the two living together in a Middle American village and socializing with the locals.

The agreement has already been signed, and production on the untitled program will begin in July, according to the outlet. The show was also referenced to what Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie did in the pioneering Fox reality program in the early 2000s.

“Luann and Sonja of course will be their fabulous selves and each episode will have them interacting with the locals,” sources told the publication.

“They don’t know the locations yet, but it’s going to be somewhere like Kansas or Nebraska, not some hipster Southern town. [Executives] have been holding the locations even from the gals until the last minute.”

The show is scheduled to contain roughly ten episodes and will feature prominent guest stars. However, it remained unclear which NBC Universal division would telecast the show.

This announcement comes after Bravo stated in March that it will revamp “RHONY” and recast the show, currently looking for “a multicultural group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country.”

“We’re looking for a group of women who are real friends, and who are of diverse backgrounds, races and religions,” Andy Cohen disclosed to Variety.
