The reactions of users have been divided. Half of them discuss their view that there is nothing wrong if a husband and wife are kissing in an open space.
Probably the jealousness ignited as to why such abuse happened, she wrote, “Usually crimes like these are committed by people who are jealous that they couldn’t do what the man did. The greatest sinner is he who says to himself, ‘I have no sin.’”
“Funny! People who leave their wife as destitutes and run away are respected and a man having his moments with his wife is beaten up!” another user wrote.
Some of the reaction tackles the idea of the rule of the country and such an act can already be a crime. “Public decency is a matter of faith & purity too,” the third person stated.
Another user discussed that it’s the only time it did happen, and probably be the agenda against the ruling party, “All sorts of efforts are put to anyhow tarnish the image of the country. In all decades such incidents did not happen. There are forces with agenda against ruling party.”

“Pretty sure they were doing more than just kissing. The wife was pulling her [pajama] up. Nonetheless, I don’t think the husband should’ve got beaten up like this, a simple slap & handing him over to the police would have been enough.” a user commented.
Regarding Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) in Ayodhya, Shailesh Pandey, said that they have not received any complaints in connection with the incident. The Police are trying to identify the couple in the video, and appropriate legal action will be taken against the attacker.

Poor guy got beaten up for making the mistake of kissing his wife. If he had shown the wisdom of abandoning his wife (and mother), he could've been in the reckoning to become PM.

If he had beaten his wife instead of kissing, I’m sure nobody had any problem with that.

Beating your wife in public is fine. Harassing women is fine. No one will step in and stop you . But kiss your wife and you get beaten up. Sort of explains why many parts of India is unsafe for women and steeped in chauvinism
