The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 2 was broadcasted from July 30, 2009, to November 12, 2009, on Bravo. The reality TV show continues to follow the lives of NeNe Leakes, Shereé Whitfield, Kim Zolciak, and Lisa Wu-Hartwell, who marked her final regular appearance in the second installment.

Season 2 kicked off with an episode titled “The Lost Footage,” which focuses on the unseen clips in the first installment. It was released on October 7, 2008. The official premiere was dropped on July 30, 2009, and the 13th episode served as the season finale. It aired on October 22, 2009.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 2 also dropped a two-part reunion, which was released on October 29, and November 5, 2009, respectively. The lost footage was labeled as the season finale and was broadcasted on November 12, 2009.

Cast and Overview of The Real Housewives in Atlanta Season 2

DeShawn Snow didn’t return in The Real Housewives in Atlanta Season 2. She revealed that producers had to let her go as she’s allegedly “too human for a circus show.” Former Xscape member Kandi Burruss replaced her. The latter, who wants to revive her music career, was then engaged to her boyfriend AJ.

NeNe, Shereé, and Kim attempted to make amends in the second season, but it didn’t work out. NeNe and Kandi also got into a fight when the latter made friends with Kim and assisted her in recording her single “Tardy for the Party.”

Episode 1 - "New Attitude, Same ATL"

Shereé decided to host an “Independence Party” for herself in honor of her recent divorce, while Lisa and her husband discussed having another child. The Atlanta ladies attend the birthday party of actress and comedian Niecy Nash, where Shereé and NeNe reflect on their tumultuous history.

Kim decided to start her own wig design company and enrolled in cosmetology school to get the process started. New housewife Kandi contemplates her new life with her fiancé AJ. Things start to go wrong for Sheree’s celebration plans.

Episode 2 - "Kim-tervention"

In an attempt to make amends, NeNe phones Kim Z to arrange a long-overdue “glass of wine.” Shereé opens up about her recent argument with a party planner. Ed and Lisa go to their first fertility appointment.

Shereé and NeNe arrange a meeting to resolve their issues with Kim. Kandi visits the recording studio to finish her solo album.

Episode 3 - "Unbeweavable"

Kim hosts a wig party to promote her new venture, while Shereé also throws a party to celebrate her new home. Lisa and Ed talk to the design team about the former’s latest clothing brand, “Closet Freak.” The reconciliation between Shereé, NeNe, and Kim doesn’t go as expected.

Kandi and TLC member T-Boz met up for lunch to discuss her musical career. Meanwhile, Dwight celebrates his birthday with a circus-themed party.

Episode 4 - "Mummies, Mommies, and Baby Mommas"

Drama breaks out when Kim discovers that her nanny left her daughters home alone without supervision. Lisa mentions visiting Los Angeles to see her mother, while fitness guru Shereé attends a bodybuilding event.

Kandi arranged a meeting with her photographer and business team to discuss her image. She and AJ pose for their engagement photos. NeNe and Dwight had a chat while at the salon. The housewives and their children attend a King Tut cocktail party.

Episode 5 - "Home Is Where the Heartbreak Is"

Lisa invites NeNe to visit her family and celebrate her grandmother’s 92nd birthday. But before traveling to Los Angeles, the ladies go on shopping first. Meanwhile, Shereé talks to an event promoter about Mercedes Benz sponsoring her “She by Sheree” fashion show.

Kim pays Kandi a visit to the recording studio. Kim asks Kandi to produce “Tardy for the Party” so that she and NeNe can record it.

Episode 6 - "My Ego Is Bigger Than Your Ego"

Nene gathers the housewives for their Alter Ego photos and then directs them all to a photo shoot. Kim and Sheree have their first amicable conversation while working on the photo session, and in light of Kandi’s family tragedy, they decide to do something good for her.

Kandi learns that her nephews and AJ’s son are involved in a potentially fatal vehicle accident, prompting her to cancel her preparations for an engagement party. When Kandi opens up to Sheree, they discover they have a lot in common, and their friendship develops.

Meanwhile, Kim establishes home rules with her new nanny and finally burying the hatchet with Lisa.

Episode 7 - "Throwing Shade"

Sheree learns that she will have to wait again for another time before launching her “She by Sheree” clothing business. Meanwhile, Lisa’s all business with launching her clothing line “Closet Freak” and tries to get everything done on time.

Kim becomes serious about establishing her wig brand and conducts preliminary research by hosting a wig party. Kandi asks a friend’s help to transform “Tardy for the Party” into a song that Kim and NeNe can record. Also, NeNe gets tough on her college dropout son Brice.

Episode 8 - "Scrambled Egos"

Kandi encourages a tearful Kim to confront her fears and return to the Atlanta music industry. With the help of her expensive fitness instructor, Sheree, a recently single woman, gets in shape while looking for love.

The housewives get ready for a black-tie dinner, where they will reveal their edgy Alter Ego photographs. The evening, however, takes a dramatic turn when Kim suffers a terrible injury and steals everyone’s attention.

Episode 9 - "Precious Pocketbook"

NeNe arranged a meeting with the co-writer of her forthcoming memoir. Kim tells Cori that Big Papa has returned after whisking her away to the Bahamas. Shereé holds her long-awaited Independence Party. NeNe confronts Kim and Kandi during the celebration about recording “Tardy for the Party” without her.

Lisa and Kandi perform in the “Pocketbook Monologues” charity show, where Kandi’s moving performance charms the audience and Dwight.

Episode 10 - "Better Tardy Than Never"

Kim and Kandi work together to complete the “Tardy for the Party” recording in time for their birthday celebration, where Big Papa has a big surprise for Kim. Ed informs Lisa that, if he doesn’t return to the NFL, he’d like to work in broadcast.

NeNe distances herself from the ladies even further after her confrontation with Kandi and Kim. Shereé puts Dwight in charge of her fashion show while she and Tania travel to New York to check over her “She by Shereé” samples.

Episode 11 - "High Heels & Record Deals"

Shereé films a promotional video for her upcoming fashion show, but Dwight seems completely uninterested. Kim continues to work on launching her wig company despite being engaged to Big Papa. Lisa and Ed face a difficult decision about the latter’s NFL career, and Lisa takes a pregnancy test.

NeNe organizes a high-heeled marathon for the benefit of her Twisted Hearts Foundation. Also, she meets with her uncle and must determine whether she is finally ready to face the man who claims to be her biological father.

Meanwhile, Kandi confronts Kim over skipping her show. She then takes a flight to Los Angeles for a crucial meeting at Capitol Records to discuss a potential record deal.

Episode 12 - "Baby Momma & Daddy Drama"

Kandi, her mother, and AJ seek advice from a marriage counselor to lessen the tension. Kim and Shereé return to FAB to make amends and arrange Kandi and AJ’s surprise engagement celebration. Shereé finally receives the finished samples for her “She by Sheree” line, which she first shows to Dwight.

NeNe and her Uncle Mel travel to Athens to give her book writer a glimpse into her childhood life. While in her hometown, NeNe is confronted with the man who claims to be her biological father.

Episode 13 - "Catwalks & Cat Fights"

Significant changes are coming, and major tension between the housewives is brewing. Shereé tries to calm herself down before her clothes go down the catwalk. Lisa is ready for a new life without Ed’s NFL paycheck.

NeNe is on the verge of breaking down. After she returns from meeting the man who claims to be her biological father, she gets into arguments with Gregg. Additionally, she gets in a brawl with Kim and fights with Kandi during Shereé’s show.

Episode 14 - "Reunion Part One"

The first part of the reunion show will dive deeply into the ladies’ lives. The episode reveals their true feelings over the catfights, wig-pulling, and overall drama that took place in Hotlanta this season.

Episode 15 - "Reunion Part Two"

In the second part of the reunion special, the housewives talk about the future of NeNe and Kim’s friendship. They also discuss whether Lisa and Ed will have more children and whether Sheree and Kim can reconcile. Lisa makes her last regular appearance in this episode.

Episode 16 - "The Lost Footage"

Andy Cohen reveals lost footage of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 2. It shows the never-before-seen clips in the second installment of the reality TV show.
