The conversation revealed the singer's affection for his "Stranger Things" co-star.
Doja Cat has recently been making waves on social media as a result of Noah Schnapp’s disclosure of their private Instagram chat over his “Stranger Things” co-star, Joseph Quinn.
In the shared conversation that Noah screenshotted and posted on TikTok, Doja can be seen slipping into his direct message and saying, “Noah can u tell Joseph to hmu,” before adding, “Wait no. Does he have a gf? ”
Noah then answered, “LMAOO slide into his DMs,” to which Doja immediately replied, “Idk his IG or Twitter… He doesn’t have a DM to slide in.” This then prompted Noah to share Joseph’s Instagram page while saying, “Right here ma’am.”
The “Say So” singer, however, found Noah’s decision to post their whole conversation on social media to be inappropriate and addressed it live on Instagram on Thursday.
“I think that, to be fair, let’s try to be chill about it,” Doja began her statement. “Like Noah is a kid, but, I don’t even know how old he is, but he can’t be over – like there’s no way he’s over 21.”
“But when you’re that young, you make mistakes. You do dumb s–t. I’m like trying to be super fair,” she continued. “You do dumb s–t, you say dumb s–t, you f–king, f–k up relationships with people. You make mistakes.”
“Like you’re supposed do that so that you know you’re not supposed to do that in the future. I did my share of f–k ups so that I don’t f–k up again.”
“The fact that Noah did that, like went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably socially unaware and wack,” she added. “That’s like borderline snake s–t, that’s like weasel s–t.”
She went on to clarify that while she doesn’t think of Noah in that way, she isn’t suggesting that what he did represents his entire nature, saying, “I don’t imagine Noah that way. Maybe he is, like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way.”
“I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”
Quinn joined the show in its most recent season as Eddie Munson, and his role is the show’s breakout, winning several fan accolades before ultimately leading to misery, as you will discover if you watch Season 4 of “Stranger Things,” which is currently available on Netflix.
