“Shahs of Sunset” Star Mike Shouhed Charged With 14 Counts Of Domestic Abuse

Unfortunately, his fiancé is one of the claimed victims of his domestic abuse.

Mike Shouhed is currently in the news because his domestic violence case finally resulted in charges; he is now being held on 14 counts for the incident by Los Angeles City attorney, Mike Feuer.

He is accused of several felonies, including battery, making unlawful attempts to discourage a witness, and domestic violence. He was also charged with  gun-related offenses including unlawfully keeping a gun and owning an assault weapon, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Furthermore, his fiancée, Paulina Ben-Cohen, responded to the allegations and said that she was a victim of domestic abuse in a statement provided to the publication by her attorney, Joshua Ritter.

“Paulina’s primary focus is on keeping herself and her children safe,” attorney Ritter stated. “She supports the work that the police and the City Attorney’s Office have done and she continues to cooperate with them, while looking forward to putting this sad situation behind her and moving on with her life.”

In August of last year, the two made an engagement announcement during the Shahs of Sunset season 9 reunion. As of the time of this writing, it was unknown whether they had actually called off their engagement.

On March 27, Shouhed was first detained; he was later freed on a $50,000 bail. The “Shahs of Sunset” star pleaded not guilty to all of the counts and will return to court on August 29 for a pre-trial hearing.
