Episode 1 - Witness

Vera S11 - local builder's body was found on the steps of Collingwood Monument

Jim Tullman (Mark Wingett), a local builder, was killed, and his body was found on the steps of the Collingwood Monument. It turns out that Tullman was supposed to testify against football hopeful Marcus Hynde (Lewis Cope) in an assault case against Victor Samassi (Tevye Matheson). Vera and the police think Patrick Hynde (Conor Lowson), who has a history of violence and has also fought Tullman before, is his brother.

Dr. Malcolm Donahue (Paul Kaye) discovers that Tullman had both GHB and alcohol in his body. A proposal ring is also found on his body, which was put there after he died. The police discover that Tullman met Leslie Clayton (Elizabeth Marsh), his best friend. The latter is married to Gary Clayton (Ged Simmons).

Marcus Hynde runs away from home and later tells the police that Tullman had offered to change his testimony, which would clear Marcus of any wrongdoing. Marcus also says that Doug Roony (Joe Caffrey) hit Tullman’s van with his foot. DCI Stanhope asks Tullman’s wife about the Fig Tree, a restaurant where Jim beat up a young lawyer named Aldo Rossi. The family went to the Fig Tree.

The police discovered that Rossi’s partner was a volunteer in the court case, Ewan Webster (Ian Bonar). And he says he killed the person, so the police arrested him. So, Vera also helps Detective Sergeant Aiden Healy (Kenny Doughty) find answers to his problems with the army.

Episode 2 - Recovery

Vera S11 - Angela Konan's body was found in the woods

Angela Konan (Karlina Grace Paseda) was a worker who helped people with addictions. Her body was found in the woods of Northumberland National Park. Vera was called to the scene.

Vera and her team must peel back the layers of the shy victim’s life to find her well-kept secrets and surprising depths. Angela had fights with two clients the week before she died, becoming more unpredictable. Beth Draper (Sian Reese-Williams) was one of them, and she talked to her daughter.

Angela’s murder also makes people wonder about Draper’s daughter, who was out that night. Duncan Maxwell (Jamie Ballard), Draper’s brother-in-law, admitted to killing him. He said he did it as he was angry that addicts’ families weren’t cared for as well as the addicts themselves. When

When he returned to Angela’s cabin, she was no longer there.

Episode 3 - Tyger Tyger

When security foreman Gary Mallon (Christopher Cordell) is killed during a robbery at a Blyth container port, the evidence points to a daring heist that went wrong. Vera starts to think that someone on the inside did something terrible. But the investigation takes an unexpected turn when Gary’s ex-wife tells police that their 13-year-old son has gone missing.

Gary Mallon did what he did because a tiger was taken from him. His son was used as security, but where is he now? Vera needs to figure out who stole the money before she can find the missing boy.

She gets into even more trouble when she has to work with an NCA officer on a covert surveillance operation that has to do with organized crime. As Vera gets closer to finding the kidnappers, she makes a mistake that has tragic results, and she is taken off the case.

Episode 4 - As the Crow Flies

A first-grade teacher named Lizzy Swann (Jessica Johnson) is found dead at the bottom of a cliff-side coastal path. What at first looks like a terrible accident quickly turns into a murder case when Vera finds signs that the body has been touched. The Swann family is shocked by the news.

This is the latest in many bad things that have happened to them. Lizzy’s husband, Phil Swann (Craig Parkinson), was forced to leave the army because of an injury, his brother died in a car accident, and the family farm is falling apart. Vera’s interviews show a scary picture of a guarded and paranoid woman who seemed to be cutting ties with friends and family in the days before she died.

Vera finds out that Lizzy was recently fired from her job for falsely accusing a father of abusing his son and that her family didn’t know about it. She starts to wonder what other secrets are at the heart of this case. Rose Swann, her grieving and envious sister-in-law, Greg, her youngest daughter’s stubborn boyfriend, and Jamie “Macca” McCarthy (Jake Fairbrother), Phil’s close friend and tenant, are all possible suspects.

However, Vera starts to think that the truth behind Lizzy’s death may be much more sinister.

Episode 5 - Vital Signs

Vera S11 - Another dead body was found at the quarry

Vera is sent to a quarry where a burned-out car with a dead body in the back is parked. When the body is found to be that of a well-known local doctor, Dr. Lucy Yo (Joyce Veheary), the team finds itself in an unexpected web of lies and betrayal.

Episode 6 - The Way the Wind Blows

In the final episode, Lisa Millworth’s (Charlotte Baker) body washed up on the riverbanks of the Tyne. Millworth was the HR advisor for a local pipe company.
