In a disturbing and widely shared video, a group of 10 to 15 people is attacking a police officer inside a police station. However, the onlookers in the incident stood by and did nothing to help.
Inside the Anand Vihar Police Station in Shahdara, Delhi, a man standing in a torn white shirt takes Prakash by the collar and attacks him. The audience was filming the incident as the man slapped Prakash and beat him up.

The news agency ANI shared the video, which has now gone viral and accumulated 33.6k views on Twitter. The incident happened in Delhi’s Anand Vihar locality.
According to the police report, the event happened on July 31, and Prakash is the chief police constable at the Anand Vihar Police Station. The police station escorted Ajay after he reportedly attacked a woman physically and stole her gold chain.
Ajay was drunk when he was brought into the station, and his aides soon arrived at the police station and attacked the chief constable. Prakash was hurt during the incident and sent to the hospital immediately.
According to the Delhi Police’s official statement regarding the incident, the two main suspects have been taken into custody by the authorities, and a team assembled to find the other participants in the assault on the police officer.
