Following the Season 3 of Vanderpump Rules, this season features Lala Kent and Brittany Cartwright, both of whom Jax was attracted to sexually. Brittany, whom he meets at a Hooters, imports from Kentucky, and purchases a new seat of breasts, is his official girlfriend. She grants him access to the restroom with the door open in exchange.
Shay’s alcohol and drug addiction cause Scheana and Shay’s marriage to start to fall apart.
After another failed effort at residing in New York, Stassi goes to LA and asks Lisa for her life back after disparaging all her friends and her previous employer. She manages to persuade Kristen and Katie to rekindle their friendship with her, and they band together to oppose Lala, whom they call a variety of anti-feminist names.
If animals were allowed to consume alcohol, Kristen and James would still fight like cats and dogs. She believes that he has a drinking issue, and he thinks she has a cheating problem.
Jax is so wasted that he steals a pair of sunglasses while the group is vacationing in Hawaii for Tom Sandoval’s birthday. As punishment, he needs to face Brittany and Lisa. Finally,
Tom Schwartz asks Katie to marry him, and although their engagement party is chaotic, it does bring everyone together for the show’s climax.

Episode 1: Playtime's Over
Lisa Vanderpump promises to raise the bar for SUR Restaurant in the Season 4 premiere. For her 30th birthday, Scheana arranges a costume party, but when Kristen arrives, Ariana and Sandoval accuse Scheana of being a fake friend. James’s irresponsible actions jeopardize his DJ career, Schwartz decides he’s ready to commit to Katie, and Jax’s mother’s visit provides a rare window into his life before SUR. Ken Todd confronts Tom Sandoval after their verbal altercation, which also involves Lisa Vanderpump. The Sur crew also celebrates three birthdays. Turns 30 is Scheana. On the program for the first time, Jax’s mother turns 60.
Episode 2: New Blood
When Lisa Vanderpump introduces new faces to the shark-infested waters of SUR, Katie and Scheana make sure to swiftly tell newcomer Lala that Lisa’s restaurant has no such thing as a secret. James allegedly betrayed Kristen, leading Kristen to face a difficult decision about who to believe. Episode 3: Pretty Little Lies
When Scheana and Katie expose Lala’s fabrication of a modeling gig in Italy, Lisa Vanderpump accuses them of harassing the newcomer. Scheana worries that her marriage may be at risk if it turns out that her partner has been keeping secrets. Jax and James vie for Lala’s devotion, Tom Schwartz takes a significant step in committing to Katie, and Tom and Ariana attempt to “mature.”
Episode 4: Happily Never After
Now that Shay’s covert existence is known to the public, Lisa Vanderpump and the SUR team pressure Scheana to reconsider her marriage. Even as things between Jax and Lala get hotter, he works to earn his new love a job at SUR. The business idea that Sandoval and Schwartz present to Lisa. James and Kristen visit a couple’s therapist.
Episode 5: Cock of the Walk
James believes Kristen is cheating on him, so he hooks up with Lala to get even. Lisa instructs her staff on the appreciation of excellent wine, Katie and Ariana implore Scheana not to ignore her marital issues, Peter chops off his ponytail, and a resentful Jax enlists Kristen in his plot to steal Lala from James.
Episode 6: Love Bites
By hosting two sizable Gay Pride celebrations, Lisa tries to outdo herself. Everyone is curious as to which SUR girl gave James the recent love bites as James arrives sporting them. Sandoval and Schwartz launch Shay’s makeover, Scheana strengthens her marriage, and Jax seizes the chance to move in with Lala.
Episode 7: Spit Take
Lisa gives some disadvantaged children the whole SUR experience, complete with some inappropriate conduct from her staff. When Kristen’s split from James becomes contentious, Jax stands up for her. When Sandoval muses over heading to Vegas without her, Schwartz and Sandoval’s business proposal falls flat, and Jax invites Brittany to come in with him, Ariana’s mood turns worse.
Episode 8: Dirty Thirty
To little effect, Ariana explains her emotional motivations for wanting Tom Sandoval to remain by her side beyond her birthday. Lala, Katie, and Ariana physically kiss and make up at Scheana’s sleepover after Lisa advises the girls to retaliate against their boyfriends for going to Vegas. Despite their best efforts, Jax, Schwartz, and Sandoval find it challenging to maintain their modesty in Sin City.
Episode 9: What Happened in Vegas
When Sandoval and Schwartz shock their girlfriends with alarming information from their trip, they discover that not everything that occurs in Vegas remains in Vegas. Ariana is unwilling to forgive and forget even after Kristen apologizes to her when she returns to SUR. Lisa assists Katie in analyzing Schwartz’s concerns with commitment, Sandoval and Ariana perform at the Improv, James tries to ruin Jax’s love life, and Sandoval’s mother’s visit sheds light on his pre-SUR life.
Episode 10: No Strings Attached
To propose to Katie, Tom Schwartz has finally grown a pair, but Lisa Vanderpump fears that his convoluted plan will go wrong. Jax can still move in on Lala despite Brittany moving in with him. Sandoval tries to fix a significant error. Ariana’s attitude pushes Scheana and Katie closer to Kristen, and Kristen and James are left out in the cold when the SUR group prepares a tropical getaway.
Episode 11: Fully Engaged
Lisa Vanderpump wants Stassi to keep her distance even though she has been snooping around SUR. Ariana and Scheana learn that their friendship might be worse off than they ever imagined. James plans to be included in the vacation to Hawaii that the SUR team is taking in honor of Jax and Tom’s birthdays. To celebrate Jax and Tom’s birthdays, the SUR crew heads to Hawaii, bringing their quarrels along. Jax refuses to take responsibility when Lala tries to admit that she flirted with him. Tom learns Scheana texted Ariana’s mother disparaging messages about him. When Lala skinny dips in front of Schwartz, Katie lashes out, and Lisa Vanderpump worries about Max from 3,000 miles away.
Episode 13: The Bitch is Back
Stassi visits Kristen in LA and eventually tells her the truth about her sex tape while the SUR gang is having fun in Hawaii. Ariana rejects Scheana’s phony apologies, and Tom criticizes Scheana and her marriage. James is ejected from his bed by Lala due to a device malfunction, Shay’s drinking is a concern for Scheana, and Jax ends up in jail just hours before leaving paradise.
Episode 14: Sex, Lies, and Stassi's Videotape
After being charged with felony stealing, Jax appears in court and faces his lover and — worst of all – Lisa Vanderpump. After detailing her entire sex tape dilemma, Stassi returns to SUR to thank Lisa for helping her prevent the tape from being released. Scheana and Shay celebrate the end of a challenging first year of marriage, James and Lala can’t keep their hands off one other at a racy picture shoot, and Kristen battles with a “Stage 5 Clinger” lover.
Episode 15: Pucker and Pout
After months of arduous effort, Katie’s website launch celebrates a high-profile party. Still, an unexpected text message from Stassi and a surprise arrival by James threaten the celebration. Brittany adjusts to her new life as the lone provider as Jax adjusts to his new life as a jobless criminal. James in his place by Lisa Vanderpump, Lala responds to a nasty rumor, and Tom Schwartz criticizes Stassi.
Episode 16: Bitch Ghost
At Lala’s house party, Stassi runs into her old SUR gang, and Scheana feels the pressure of facing the consequences of her involvement in the sex tape incident. Embarrassed, Jax tries to establish his social supremacy by boasting about his girlfriend’s breast augmentation, but his pals are unimpressed. Tom Schwartz gets into trouble with Katie when he quits his job for Lisa Vanderpump, while Tom Sandoval works on a new single, and Kristen carries on with her serial dating.

Jax cheers himself up by purchasing Brittany a breast job after Tom Sandoval makes him take responsibility for his previous poor behavior. James causes a disturbance at PUMP, forcing Lisa to make a significant choice. Lisa Vanderpump refuses to let Stassi and Kristen be on the guest list despite Katie’s pleadings for her engagement party to be at Villa Rosa. When a criminal court date approaches, Jax starts to have second thoughts about moving in with his girlfriend, Brittany. Katie enlists Scheana’s assistance in organizing her engagement party, Sandoval shoots a music video in the hopes of launching his career, and James and Kristen reignite their former romance.

The biggest event of the year—Katie and Tom Schwartz’s engagement—is celebrated in the season four finale, which Lisa Vanderpump hosts.
