Following An Aggressive Altercation With A Female Passenger, The Airline Suspends The Agent

The two individuals fought and accused one another of violating their personal space, making unwanted physical contact, and using racist insults.

The New York Post reported on the suspension of Spirit Airlines’ employee following the release of a viral video showing him assaulting a female traveler physically in a US airport.

At Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, the unnamed airport employee was spotted fighting with the passenger as other individuals attempted to break the altercation.

Spirit Airlines issued a short comment on Twitter stating that it is “aware of the altercation” and “does not tolerate violence of any kind.” According to reports, the airline cooperates with law police on the investigation.

Then, later on, another man approaches the enraged man and challenges him to a fight rather than “the woman.” As the video continued, more people joined in, halting the man and telling him to calm down.

Support for the Spirit Airlines employee or the passenger’s defense received mixed user support. And the video has currently garnered more than 10.4 million views.

“This is why you fly first class on non-discounted airlines—or don’t fly at all,” a user wrote. One user joked, “She [doesn’t] respect him with that hat on.”

Another user said, “He definitely needs to be on the Dallas Cowboys O-line.”

“My thoughts are if a dude is standing around just watching while I’m being assaulted and only wants to step in when I’m ready to fight back, then he can get it too,” a user points out.
