The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 was broadcasted on Bravo from November 3, 2019, until May 24, 2020. The reality TV show continues to follow the Atlanta housewives — NeNe Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Eva Marcille.
Unlike the previous seasons, The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 met some filming hurdles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The program was scheduled to have a special reunion filming in March 2020, but it was postponed. Instead, the reunion occurred virtually and via a remote setting in April 2020.
Cast and Overview of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12
NeNe made her final appearance in season 12, while Eva also made her last regular appearance in the reality TV show. All cast members returned, except for Shamari DeVoe. On the other hand, Kenya joins the ladies again after being absent in season 11.
Meanwhile, Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam returned as cast members’ friends. Moreover, Yovanna Momplasir and Shamea Morton made numerous appearances during the season.
Episode 1 - The Moore the Merrier
Kenya is enjoying her new job as a mother to her daughter Brooklyn, but she is battling to keep her long-distance marriage with Marc together. Dennis betrays Porsha’s trust, which causes a rift in their relationship. Eva is under pressure to find the ideal home for her growing family, especially with a new baby on the way.
An unexpected visitor arrives at Kandi’s restaurant to give some troubling news about Dennis. Cynthia becomes increasingly fixated on getting engaged. Kenya hosts a coming-out party to introduce the women to Brooklyn, but the event quickly goes awry once Eva says something carelessly that irritates Kenya.
Episode 2 - Cheatin' Heart
Cynthia and Kandi attempt to clean up the Barbie Bash disaster. Kenya tells Cynthia her uncensored feelings after learning of Eva’s mistrust. Porsha, who is trying to understand her relationship, unintentionally drops a bomb on everyone.
Episode 3 - The Float Goes On
Eva and Cynthia become closer as several of the ladies prepare to travel to New York City for WorldPride. Kenya admits she and Marc are having issues. Todd and Kandi argue about parenting methods. NeNe makes a comeback with exciting news and a fresh perspective on life.
Episode 4 - Love, Marriage, and Sour Peaches
Cynthia and NeNe finally speak to each other after their fallout on the top of the WorldPride float. Porsha has to face the fact that Dennis has been unfaithful. Kenya is forced to admit that her long-distance marriage is deteriorating.
Episode 5 - The Regift That Keeps on Giving
Kenya opens up about the difficulties of her marriage to Porsha. Kandi brings Riley to New York City for an internship. Following their altercation, NeNe and Marlo enjoy a make-up meal. NeNe has a surprise visitor who spills the beans on Cynthia.
Episode 6 - Where There's a Wig, There's a Way
Todd and Kandi are still working through their difficulties in parenting. Kenya devotes all of her energy to running her company. NeNe invites Kandi to lunch and shares troubling facts concerning Cynthia. Marlo hosts a celebration to introduce her new wig collection.
Episode 7 - What Would Michelle O Do?
To distract Porsha from her breakup, Marlo takes her on a hookah and Hennessy-fueled pedal tour. Kenya consults an estate attorney. Rumors circulate that someone in the group secretly taped Cynthia speaking behind NeNe’s back.
Episode 8 - Head Over Hills
Mike, Cynthia’s boyfriend, decides that they should further their relationship. Cynthia attempts to unravel the mystery of “Snakegate.” NeNe reaches out to Cynthia by launching The Bailey Wine Cellar.
Episode 9 - A Whine of a Time
The ladies travel to Canada to take part in the Toronto Carnival. Porsha gets some things off her chest before the festivities begin. Cynthia questions if Kenya attempted to sabotage Mike’s proposal. Kenya admits that things with Marc haven’t gotten any better.
Episode 10 - Living on the Edge
NeNe is greeted coldly in Toronto. Eva and NeNe reopen previous wounds. The women are forced to live on the edge during a group trust exercise. A startling surprise awaits Kenya, Porsha, and Kandi as they work together to track down the person who taped Cynthia.
Episode 11 - Snake Bye
Dennis, Porsha’s ex-fiance, unexpectedly appears with a ring and a question, which catches her off guard. Kenya, Kandi, and Porsha are curious about the identity of the person who allegedly recorded Cynthia. At the last meal in Toronto, accusations start flying.
Episode 12 - A Hairy Situation
Eva is keen to change Marley’s last name legally, but her biological father may be a stumbling hurdle. Dennis now has to win back Porsha’s family after re-proposing to her. Tanya exposes a secret she knows about Kenya.
Episode 13 - Hot Tea With a Side of Cookies
Cynthia invites Tanya and Kenya together to work out their disagreements, but a suspicious visitor accompanies Kenya. When Cynthia visits Mike in Los Angeles, she discovers something unexpected about his life and starts worrying.
Episode 14 - Lions, and Tigers and Shade
Cynthia and NeNe make an effort to resolve their issues. NeNe invites the women to a jungle-themed brunch, but things don’t go as planned when some guests depart early, and others come up without notice.
Episode 15 - Kenya vs. Ken
Cynthia and Mike’s relationship is put to the test. According to the girls, when Marc is around, Kenya seems to change. Kenya and Kandi work together to arrange a trip to Athens, Greece. Porsha challenges Kenya. Marc extends an invitation to NeNe to his charity event.
Episode 16 - In The Name of Charity
Even though there are still unresolved issues in the group, Cynthia arranges a baby shower for Eva and hopes for a day of love and joy. When the activities are over, Kenya approaches Tanya with a daring request. Kandi is willing to go to any lengths to land the role of a lifetime.
NeNe seeks advice from her friend Wendy Williams. Kenya assists Marc in organizing a charity event, but the distance between them becomes too great.
Episode 17 - Greece Is the Word
Prior to the ladies’ trip to Greece, Kenya and Marc announce their divorce, so Kandi and Cynthia beg the ladies to behave themselves. However, NeNe and Marlo find the request to be practically impossible. After the shocking revelation, Kenya travels to Greece in good spirits, but the weather turns gloomy.
Episode 18 - A Greek Tragedy in 6 Acts
Kenya is ready to move on from the drama after an argument with NeNe, but she gets into problems with Cynthia when she makes improper comments. Porsha and NeNe cry after a long chat reliving past wounds.
Episode 19 - Ruined Peaches
After Porsha and Tanya attempt to settle all of the girls’ difficulties, NeNe says sorry to Kenya for her previous comments. Marlo pushes Kenya to the limit. Kandi and Cynthia want to make amends with NeNe and Kenya on their final day in Greece.
Episode 20 - More Love More Problems
The housewives are back in Atlanta after a turbulent vacation to Greece. Kandi departs for Chicago in search of a significant acting role, but her absence at home causes old scars to resurface. Eva introduces baby Maverick to the world.

Kenya continues to distance herself from Marc, while Cynthia is debating whether or not to relocate to Los Angeles. NeNe and Gregg have a very out-of-the-ordinary 23rd wedding anniversary celebration.

Todd and Mama Joyce’s previous quarrel resurfaces on the day of Kandi’s baby shower. NeNe discovers some negative rumors that are being spread about her. Porsha is having new problems with Kenya.
