What Happened in The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 11? (Full Recap)

All five spouses that were part of Season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County returned for Season 11. Lizzie Rovsek, a recurring character from season ten and a former housewife, left the show and did not appear in season eleven.

The show’s eleventh season welcomes Kelly Dodd, an Arizona native, and stay-at-home mother. She is currently resolving her marital problems. Dodd is described as bold and brash and bringing the heat to the O.C. with her hot Latin background and unvarnished ideas.

Episode 1 - When the Ship Hits the Fan

Shannon Beador is planning to move into a new house once the new year gets underway because her marriage is feeling much more secure. Although things at Heather Dubrow’s home are going well, her marriage is having some problems. When Meghan King Edmonds begins in vitro fertilization (IVF), her mother is by her side because her husband has obligations at work.

Vicki Gunvalson, who continues to harbor strained relationships with the other wives, is invited to Heather’s boat party. At the gathering where Meghan introduces Kelly Dodd, a new wife, Vicki tries to repair her friendships.

Episode 2 - Making Friends But Not Amends

In Turks and Caicos, Heather takes a vacation with her family while Tamra Judge tries to save her son’s relationship. Despite what Meghan told her, Kelly makes an effort to get to know Vicki. Kelly throws a bomb when she tells the other women who still have unresolved issues with Meghan that she has become friends with Vicki. Meghan is throwing a demolition party to destroy her kitchen.

Kelly apologizes to Dr. Phil in front of the group for failing to notice Vicki at Heather’s party. Kelly also wants Shannon to know that she is distant and evasive while she is at it. Kelly is surprised to discover that it has been more than two years since she last saw her daughter. It comes as no surprise that Tamra’s sobs.

Episode 3 - Lies in the Air, Sand in My Hair

Vicki’s hopes come true when her daughter Briana relocates from Oklahoma to Orange Country. Still, it’s not precisely what Vicki had dreamed it would be. As Meghan’s IVF treatment starts, she battles her dread of needles. Kelly hosts a beach party to get to know the other women while Vicki and Tamra try to solve their previous year’s problems.

Vicki is an expert at making things right since she then admits to Tamra that she wasn’t handling herself well. Vicki is criticized by Tamra for being a narcissist who erred but expects everyone else to take responsibility. Vicki acknowledges that she erred by failing to think the ladies were seeing something she wasn’t, but she insists she didn’t fabricate Brooks’ disease.

Episode 4 - Frozen Assets

Vicki and Tamra’s altercation forces Kelly to shift her beach party indoors. Meghan is still making progress toward starting her own family. A medical emergency forces Brianna to go to the hospital, and Shannon makes a choice regarding Vicki.

Meghan firmly believes that Kelly has overstepped her bounds by establishing a friendship with Vicki, and she doesn’t want Kelly to do it. Since Kelly and Vicki have only been friends for two weeks, it seems that when Vicki contacted Kelly, angry over Briana, it was too much for Meghan to take in. She can identify with Vicki because she is obviously trapped in a bad marriage.

Episode 5 - Boogie Fights

Shannon throws a party with a 1970s theme, and Kelly and Shannon get into a heated disagreement regarding Kelly’s alleged history. Vicki manages to fit in some fun with the women despite her hectic schedule, which includes working, watching over her grandson, and bringing Brianna back to health. Heather expresses her worries about Terry working excessive hours.

When Tamra intervenes to assist Kelly patch up some connections, things don’t go as planned since she ends up causing trouble instead. Shannon and Tamra dress up as streakers and have an orgy with a horrified Heather smack in the middle of the party, leaving it to Shannon to cap the night with a history lesson.

Episode 6 - Frenemies of the State

After her party, Shannon visits Dr. Moon to eliminate the toxins. Kelly makes peace by allowing Shannon to talk about the party night. And Meghan goes to Washington, D.C., to advocate for colorectal cancer.

Kelly turns into Matlock and summons Shannon to the witness stand, demanding to know the specifics of how long Shannon has known Jaci and how close they actually are. 

Kelly then accuses Shannon of throwing the party to set her up rather than taking her mother’s advice and simply apologizing for being so inebriated at the party and moving on. Shannon did not host the event to manipulate Kelly.

Episode 7 - Something's Fishy

Vicki celebrates her family’s return to Orange County. At the same time, Heather tries to juggle work and life the night before Heather’s book launch. Kelly, who continues to feel mistreated by Shannon, turns to Vicki for solace as they both feel angry. Before Meghan becomes pregnant, Tamra organizes a sushi party for her. Still, things don’t go as planned when Kelly crosses the line.

While Kelly experiences a moment of clarity, Meghan finally understands that her friend Kelly is batsh-t crazy. She erred because she was agitated. She apologizes for stomping on someone’s foot on the subway.

Episode 8 - Shannon Gets Her Groove Back

Kelly regrettably turns to Meghan, and Heather and Tamra talk about her erratic behavior as Kelly gets some fierce love. In the meantime, Meghan continues with her IVF procedure. 

Later, Shannon enjoys a surprise-filled evening with her friends and family. Vicki and Kelly reunite in the O.C. because they both identify as outcasts.

David and Shannon renew their vows. Their daughters are present, and the entire ceremony served as a lovely reminder that Shannon was correct to fight for her marriage after 16 years.

Episode 9 - Woo Hoo Weekend

As part of their second honeymoon, Shannon and her husband travel to Cabo. During their dinner date, Heather and Terry discuss Heather’s problems with Kelly and Terry’s issues with his hectic schedule. Tamra intervenes in the conflict between Heather and Kelly by setting up a meeting between the two to resolve their issues before their trip to Glamis.

Vicki has informed Kelly that Heather does not want Kelly to accompany Eddie on his birthday trip because Heather does not want Kelly near her children. Kelly begins to cry, and Tamra acts foolishly. But Kelly breaks down and sobs more, especially after Tamra speaks up again and confesses that she worries about losing control and swearing around the kids.

Episode 10 - Shock and Roll

To honor Eddie’s birthday, Tamra, Vicki, Heather, and Kelly fly to Glamis. After a lengthy R.V. trip down, the ladies finally get to experience the amenities of the motorsports hotspot. The girls investigate the dunes the following day, which leads to an unforgettable ride.

As a result, a life-or-death incident has brought Tamra, Vicki, Heather, and Kelly closer together. It effectively offers everyone a starting point from which to go forward without looking back and automatically wipes out part of the drama surrounding Kelly and Vicki. It’s a real fresh start, which Meghan and Shannon will definitely find divisive.

Episode 11 - The Moral Minority

Following an incident, the ladies get together and form new ties. Additionally, Shannon tries to rebuild broken connections, Meghan visits Vicki’s home to make peace, and Tamra mulls, postponing her fitness challenge.

Shannon says she understands why Vicki doesn’t visit her and that she looks horrible, but she insists that she still doesn’t want to be friends with Vicki ever again. As Heather and Tamra settle down, Meghan becomes the target of their ire instead of Tamra and Heather.

Episode 12 - Stage Moms and Dropped Bombs

While her daughters practice for a rock concert, Shannon becomes anxious about an impending family move. While Briana’s birthday is being celebrated by Vicki, the Beador ladies perform for family and friends. Still, the evening is ruined by an unexpected visitor’s bombshell accusation.

The two-year anniversary of the affair between Shannon and David is quickly approaching, and that period of time is thought to be the magic one in which the hurt and resentment vanish. The fact that David surprised Shannon with a vow renewal ceremony proves that he went over and above to make things right.

Shannon, though, showed she is still involved in the romance. Sure, she loves David and will do whatever it takes to keep their marriage together, but their union has deep wounds that go beyond the affair.

Episode 13 - Bye, Bye, Beadors

Real Housewife Kelly discusses her marriage. Meghan has her first ultrasound. Shannon packs up her house.  Tamra treats Kelly, Vicki, and Heather to a day of pampering at the spa. Michael and Kelly talk about their relationship since parting.

Shannon was left with a lot of unresolved emotions as a result of David’s mother’s outburst since she is obviously not over David having an affair, and neither should she be. Shannon can still feel hurt by what happened, especially now that we know David’s mistress was more of a girlfriend who even spent time with his mother and sister.

Episode 14 - Secrets, Lies and Vicki's New Guy

RHOC Meghan throws a party to mark the opening of her candle shop. Vicki threatens to reveal Shannon’s secret; Meghan copes with the highs and lows of pregnancy. Heather throws a posh book party, and Meghan suggests a trip to Ireland.

Surprisingly, Michael appears receptive to Kelly’s concerns that they argue too much in front of their daughter and that there is no love there. He actually listens and promises to be more romantic, take Kelly on dates, and just do better in general. Kelly is trying to save her doomed marriage to Michael by heeding the wise love advice of twice divorced and Cancer-gate relationship survivor Vicki.

Episode 15 - Shamrocks and Shockwaves

The women visit Ireland to learn more about Meghan’s ancestry. Tamra and Kelly have a verbal exchange while out on a bar crawl. The women participate in a traditional Irish Hooley Night to make the best of their first day in Ireland.

Kelly is not at all missed by the women at dinner, not even Vicki, who is having fun with Shannon, a non-friend. Kelly is utterly unaware of the damage she causes and has received more second chances after drunken outbursts than the majority of housewives over the years.

Episode 16 - Bringing Up Old Ghosts

RHOC S11 - Vicki, Tamra, Heather, and Shannon visit a milk farm

After a rocky beginning, the women set out on their own travels. While Vicki, Tamra, Heather, and Shannon visit a milk farm, Meghan takes Kelly to a nearby village to track down distant ancestors. Kelly makes an effort to make apologies to Tamra during the dinner reunion of the two groups.

When the women return to the airport, tensions flare up once more, and bombs fly, throwing this group of friends into chaos, unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.

Episode 17 - Puppet Strings and Tamra's Wings

The bus ride from hell brings the trip to Ireland to a close. Tamra is finally prepared to compete at her eagerly anticipated fitness competition after months of diet and workout back in Orange County. Where the women struggle to make sense of the trip.

There was no Vicki whispering in her ear, and nothing else truly prompted her to bring the situation to that point. However, Tamra has had a soft spot for Kelly since she realized that most of Kelly’s temper episodes were probably caused by her failing marriage.

Kelly’s apology is accepted by Tamra, who also extends her own. The universe is in harmony as the planets realign, but Tamra is adamant that Kelly apologizes to Shannon.

Episode 18 - Vicious Lies and Broken Ties

Tamra’s triumph in the fitness competition is celebrated by the women at Shannon’s new home with a carb-heavy catering meal. Vicki’s caustic gossiping is the subject of a confrontation between Tamra, Heather, and Shannon.

Vicki’s refusal to take accountability for harming others can only be exposed by Briana. Before she actually departs, she begs Tamra to speak to her mother. Tamra concurs, and the merry-go-round resumes as Vicki apologizes for repeating the allegation about Eddie but insists that she wasn’t the original source of it.

Episode 19 - Reunion, Pt. 1

RHOC S11 - Reunion Part 1

Vicki is interrogated by the woman about her place as an outsider. Tamra talks about her award-winning genitalia. Meghan discusses her baby blues and her connection with Jimmy, and Kelly maintains her composure as accusations fly.

Heather squares off against Kelly; Shannon discusses her tumultuous marriage to her mother-in-law, and Briana, Vicki’s daughter, spills the beans about her mother’s connection with the truth. Kelly also exposes stunning revelations about her history.

RHOC S11 - Reunion Part 3

The horrifying Glamis tragedy is discussed, Meghan is questioned about her lack of sympathy for Vicki, and Shannon is shocked when the women reveal the shady events that took place in Ireland in the reunion’s concluding segment.
