She was arrested alongside her boyfriend.
On Saturday, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum Kim Zolciak’s daughter, Ariana, was taken into custody at Forsyth County Jail in Georgia after being charged with DUI with her boyfriend, Hudson McLeroy.
Ariana was driving a black Mercedes G-Wagon when she collided with another vehicle. The incident occurred early on Saturday near Atlanta, according to PEOPLE. Despite her denials, an officer reportedly detected alcohol on her breath, as per the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office report acquired by the publication.
She refused to take a breathalyzer test even after being arrested. However, she did acknowledge using a THC vape pen that the officer had discovered in her backpack.
She was charged with three misdemeanors as a consequence, including driving while intoxicated, making an incorrect or irregular lane change, and possessing or purchasing alcohol while underage. Her driver’s license was taken as well.
“Ariana was involved in a small fender incident. When police came on site, the investigating officer quickly launched an inquiry for DUI,” Hawkins Spizman law firm attorney Justin Spizman told the outlet.
“Despite Ariana’s constant invocation that she was upset and anxious from the minor accident, the officer incorrectly concluded she was impaired by alcohol.”
Spizman also clarified in his statement that this was not the case and that his client “wholly denies” these claims and “intends to fight these charges because she is not guilty of them.”
Ariana was also held along with her on-again, off-again partner, Hudson McLeroy, for allegedly giving alcohol to a minor, operating a vehicle while inebriated, and for violating the restrictions on his restricted license.
Soon after her arrest, she was freed on bail. The “RHOA” alum declined requests for comment from several outlets both before and after her daughter’s arrest.
