On Friday, a “flash mob” video of looters ransacking a 7-Eleven in downtown Los Angeles went viral.
A disturbing video shows looters breaking into a 7-11 store in Los Angeles. Thus, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is seeking assistance from the public in locating the people responsible for the incidents.
The commotion that occurred inside the 7-Eleven early this week was captured on camera by police. Dozens of people rushed in and began snatching everything from the shelves, including drinks, snacks, cigarettes, and lotto tickets.

On August 15 around 12:40am a street takeover initiated at Figueroa and El Segundo. The spectators then formed a ‘flash mob’ of looters and rushed a nearby 7-Eleven.

There are several people spotted grabbing items from the counter and going over it. Police reported that a store employee who was working alone just stood by and was terrified for his life.
Additionally, cash registers were damaged; however, it’s unknown whether any money was taken.
In a press release, the LAPD stated that the incident happened on Monday at approximately 12:40 am local time (1940 GMT) during a street takeover. A group of motorists blocked the intersection’s traffic by parking their vehicles in the middle and blocking it from all sides.
The posted video by the Lost Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has garnered more than 2.8 million views. Users also express their thoughts and concerns about the incident.
“Today’s youth is too far gone. There’s no changing that mentality until they each suffer that kind of loss, then they’ll understand how damaging their behavior is,” a user wrote.
Another user said, “Ahh, diversity. Imagine when things collapse, and the stores have nothing left. It’s coming.”
Some users never let the situation slide to share their quips. For instance, a user wrote: “I can’t believe nobody went for those scratch tickets. 😂”
