For the time being, viewers will have to bid this show farewell.

Fans of “Floribama Shore” may have to say goodbye after four seasons because MTV has decided to terminate the reality series and won’t be airing a fifth for now while the show’s future is being considered.

The cast and crew were informed of the show’s abrupt termination, and many of the cast members apparently found the news confusing, according to TMZ, who broke the news. Additionally, the cause of its discontinuation is still a question.

Aimee Hall, Candace Rice, Jeremiah Buoni, Codi Butts, Nilsa Prowant, Gus Smyrnios, and Kirk Medas make up the cast. Given that Prowant and Gus Gazda’s wedding, which was planned to feature in Season 5, was also purportedly captured on camera, this cancellation came as a bit of a surprise.

The first season of the show, which debuted in 2017, was filmed in St. Pete Beach, Florida, while the subsequent two seasons were shot in Panama City Beach. However, recent seasons have seen filming shift to Missoula, Montana, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona, due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The cast and the show itself had a lot of controversy. A business called Flora-Bama Lounge and Oyster Bar issued a cease-and-desist order to the show right away for allegedly copying their name.

On the other hand, the cast caused a stir for their raucous behavior and excessive bar drinking in Panama City Beach. At that time, Hall punched a woman at a bar which led to her detention and violence charges, according to TV Insider.

Medas was also taken into custody for disorderly conduct in Woodstock, Georgia, in the year 2020. He even tried to brag about his fame as he was being led away in handcuffs.

The show’s executive producers were Sally Salsano, the founder and CEO of 495 Productions, and Drew Tappon, while executive producers for MTV were Nina L. Diaz and Jackie French.
