Episode 1 - The 1 Percenters

Below Deck S5 - Capt Lee Rosbach

Captain Lee Rosbach steers the magnificent Valor toward St. Martin with a little crew. He attributes the lack of decent available staff and being forced to use the leftovers to all the “Hollywood Types and Wall Street Pricks” who now own yachts rather than just renting them out.

The charter guests are amused as the deck crew tries to lower the little boat for the beach picnic into the water. Then Kate Chastain struggles to organize their beach lunch, doing all of the labor for the crew in essence. How things are going is perfectly summed up by Brianna tripping and falling on her ass while walking to the picnic.

Episode 2 - It Ain't Easy Being Green

The crew greets their initial charter passengers. The team keeps making mistakes, and Captain Lee is forced to become more involved. The alcohol flow throughout the first night out exposes some of the crew’s actual motives, including romantic ones.

When Captain Lee intervened and made some changes, the crew became very tense. Nico had to alter the workload for the team a little and come down on them.

Nico told Bruno Duarte that he was the weak link in the chain. Kate started timing and recording the stew’s tasks to track progress. Jen wasn’t the best, but she was entertaining.

Episode 3 - Jesus Saves

Below Deck S5 - Nico Scholly

Twenty-two hours have passed, and everyone is cleaning the yacht to prepare for the arrival of the charter guests. Lead Deckhand Nico Scholly is making repeated radio calls. At the same time, Deckhand Chris Brown, who partied hard the night before, sleeps it off in his cot.

Captain Lee receives word that his first mate Steve is ill two hours before the charter, making it impossible for the Captain to leave the dock. He invents a tale about a mechanical issue for the visitors. He attributes it to the deck crew being too inexperienced to take a chance.

Episode 4 - Kate Goes to Church

While the crew of the ship dines and Canadian chef Matt Burns gets to work in the kitchen, Brianna Adekeye starts the drinks flowing for the ladies. Below Deck, while Chris is clueless and claims it wasn’t his fault, Baker Manning has at least realized she contributed to the accident somehow.

The visitors are exhausted after making fun of Matt about Brianna in the galley and getting ready for supper after their afternoon water toy exploits. Jennifer is upset because Kate went shopping for the disco party’s supplies and also bought a ring for herself.

Episode 5 - Cool Beans

Below Deck S5 - Kate Chastain

The squad is completely shocked by Captain Lee’s decision on the crew’s reconfiguration. Kate attempts to surprise the charter guests on their anniversary, but her scheme fails. Meanwhile, Matt feels embarrassed due to the charter passengers’ comments.

Bruno impresses Nico, Baker becomes disorganized, and Chris gets to be on anchor watch for no other reason than he needs to be taught a lesson. It all depends on how Captain Lee feels about the crew right now.

Episode 6 - 100 Feet From Catastrophe

Below Deck S5 - EJ Jansen

Bosun EJ Jansen’s direction forces Nico to the brink of breakdown. After his date with Brianna, Matt’s problems have not yet ended. Captain Lee decides how many people to hire. Jen and Brianna fight because Jen feels undervalued in her department.

Nico and EJ seem unsure of which side is out on the water, so it’s a huge error that everyone on both yachts gets to enjoy. Since Nico was at fault, they appeared to be novices, and Captain Lee had no plans to fire EJ anytime soon.

Episode 7 - Blindsided

Below Deck S5 - friendship with Leigh Ann Tuohy

The group of pals Leigh Anne Tuohy hangs out with is challenging for Matt’s cooking abilities. Nico adjusts to life as the second on the Deck but wonders if he can stand out. Jen attempts to impress Kate, but she disregards the dress code.

Jen will accompany Chief Stew Kate Chastain to St. Barths. Nico and Brianna are enjoying a private supper together. While the rest of the crew eats together, deckhand Baker Manning expresses his admiration for EJ’s resilience under pressure.

Episode 8 - Under Cover Boss

Below Deck S5 - Nico and Brianna

Nico and Brianna become more intimate despite Nico having a girlfriend in Chicago. Unexpected information causes Matt to have a day off while drinking. A stewardess speed test that Kate issued to Jen and Brianna had incredible results.

Matt is drinking a lot more now and has trouble speaking clearly. Nico agrees to let him go when he asks deckhand Bruno Duarte to serve as his sous chef.

While Baker and EJ go on a walk, Nico and Brianna hold hands in the sunshine. Jen has a half-cut, protrudes from her bikini, and engages in strange animal conversation. Nico doesn’t understand why Matt drinks emotionally.

Episode 9 - Hot Mess Express

Below Deck S5 - Nico and Capt Lee

When eight individuals with solid personalities board the ship, the crew is overwhelmed. Matt makes an effort to improve his culinary skills. Nico tries to convince Captain Lee that he would be a better bosun than EJ, but a beach picnic might be too much for him.

Back on the boat, EJ shouts at everyone to wash their feet since they are trampling everything because he has black feet. Watching EJ pick a fight with the Scholly brothers was entertaining, even though there is some strange shaggy blonde guy in the back who is a hundred times more interesting to watch than this fight.

Episode 10 - King Come-On-I-Wanna-Lay-Ya

Below Deck S5 - Nico and EJ

Bosun EJ Jansen has cleaned his feet and asks Lead Deckhand Nico Scholly and his older brother Josh Scholly to do the same since he is worried about all the black feet smearing the Deck. They handle it with dignity and assurance, never making fun of him or responding to him in foul language.

A mishap peril Nico’s ability to complete the remainder of the charter season. To amuse the unhappy to be stranded guests, Kate is compelled to leave her stews on the yacht. With yet another restaurant owner, Matt is once again in trouble.

Episode 11 - Only Doing It For The Money

Below Deck S5 - Capt Lee in action

Since yesterday’s attempt to launch the yacht failed, Captain Lee Rosbach decided to take the Valor for a spin. Fifteen minutes before it’s time for EJ to go, lead deckhand Nico Scholly finally admits to being a complete jerk to EJ. Everyone else promises to do better.

The crew witnesses another side of Captain Lee when a special guest is invited aboard. The gang is caught off guard by a former acquaintance who immediately notices Jen. An all-female charter is challenging to manage.

Episode 12 - You Don't Mess with the Primary

Below Deck S5 - Capt Lee and Kate

On the morning of the second day of the charter, Captain Lee Rosbach summons Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain to the bridge to voice his displeasure with chef Matt Burns. Shelly Snoddy and her group of pals are on board.

Captain Lee ordered Bruno Duarte, a deckhand, to leave the galley because he wanted to assess Matt’s abilities. As he takes Bruno out of the galley and sits down to eat with the women, Captain Lee puts Matt to the test.

As he and Jen get closer, Kyle is acting with ulterior purposes. As his love for Brianna and his ex-girlfriend deepen, Nico feels torn. Jen finally snaps out of it.

Episode 13 - The One Where Jen Loses Her Mind

Below Deck S5 - Timothy Sykes

Once again, Timothy Sykes is unable to function without WiFi. Kate and Captain Lee are under pressure since they know the standards that must be met for a visitor of this stature. After upsetting the entire crew, Jen is the subject of severe scrutiny.

To solve the issue, Chief Stewardess Kate Chastain consults with Second Stew Brianna Adekeye. If Jenn is fired, she will have to work even more challenging.

Naturally, Jenn feels incredibly guilty the following morning. Except for Kate, who is finished with Jenn, everyone is reminiscing about the previous evening.

Episode 14 - The Champagne Campaign

Below Deck S5 - Jen Howell

The crew is very stressed as it’s the last night of the charter season. Jen makes an effort to behave herself. While Jen makes one previous effort to patch things up with Kate, Nico musters the strength to break things up with Brianna.

Jennifer Howell, the third Stewardess, has determined that she should start planning her mime costume fifteen minutes before the event. She’s not helping, so not only does everyone else have to work harder than usual because of it, but she has two days to investigate this.

Episode 15 - Reunion

Below Deck S5 - Reunion

Hosted by Andy Cohen, the Valor cast discusses the season’s most outrageous and contentious incidents and responds to viewers’ most pressing queries.
