Nicole Brown Simpson’s Sister Upset About Chris Rock’s Joke About Her Murder

Wrong joke again this time and very insensitive.

Chris Rock recently disclosed during a Sunday night performance in Phoenix that he declined an offer to host the Academy Awards next year because of the infamous Oscar slap Will Smith gave him.

However, he made used the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial as a point of comparison, stating that it would be like asking Nicole Brown Simpson “to go back to the restaurant,” which didn’t sit well with her sister, Tanya Brown.

In a statement to TMZ, Tanya argued that his joke was illogical in addition to being poor humor. She said that it is unjust and incorrect to compare getting slapped at the Oscars to a horrifying double homicide.

She continued by saying that it was completely unnecessary because the victim’s extended family was still suffering from the murder, and that his attempt at humor was disturbing.

Furthermore, the author thinks comedians should be held responsible for their remarks as well. As a matter of fact, she is not the first one to criticize Rock for his offensive joke; other internet users have done the same. See the reactions below.

Tanya has already criticized someone for making light of her sister’s murder. As we previously reported, Kim Kardashian’s opening monologue on Saturday Night Live incorporates a joke about how her late father Robert Kardashian Sr. was the reason that she met her “first Black person,” which is O.J. Simpson.

She claimed that the joke was offensive and demeaning to everyone, including all victims of domestic abuse who were killed by their partners, not only Nicole and Ron.

Reactions to Nicole Brown Simpson’s Sister Upset About Chris Rock's Joke About Her Murder

Okay, So Chris Rock made a joke about a black woman, and everyone was defending him Saying “oh he was joking”. Now, since he made a joke about a dead white woman, suddenly, everyone is offended. America, America has a problem.

We BET NOT see ANYONE traumatized, upset, shaken, disturbed, outraged etc over Chris Rock’s statement involving Nicole Brown Simpson. It’s just jokes, remember?

Lol. The same white women who cheered Chris Rock when he made fun of a Black woman on global TV are today angry that he made fun of a dead white woman. The monster you help raise will always come back to hurt you.
