Guests during the 2011’s UA Galaxy Cinemas Opening

When Galaxy Macau opened the territory’s first modern multi-screen cinema this week, Hong Kong to Hollywood actor Jet Li was among the celebrity guests. Given that Macau promotes itself as a world-class, all-around tourism destination, the absence of a modern cinema complex was a noticeable omission from the territory’s amenities. Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), the operator of the Galaxy Macau casino resort on Cotai, has now addressed this issue. GEG has agreed with UA Cinemas to bring a facility capable of showing the most recent 3D films. The premiere of Chinese director Tsui Hark’s latest film, The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate 3D, starring Jet Li, took place on Wednesday.
