Who Is Vybz Kartel’s Fiancé?

Sidem Öztürk is a Turkish social worker who was employed in London, helping unfortunate children and adults during her career there. Sidem also studied psychology and is currently the muse of Vybz Kartel’s new EP, “True Religion.”

However, in order to be with her lover, Vybz Kartel, a well-known dancehall reggae musician from Jamaica, Sidem left everything behind and relocated to Kingston. Now, the two are recently engaged.

The couple recently made headlines after it was reported that Vybz popped the question to Sidem during a permitted jail visitation in the summer of 2022.

Vybz is currently serving a life sentence in jail for the killing of Clive “Lizzard” Williams, which explains the venue of the proposal. Still, it seemed like the psychology student was head over heels about the thought of being married soon to the singer.

Sidem spoke exclusively with Fox News about their relationship and the proposal while mentioning that they had been calling one another “hubby and wifey.” (2)

She said: “We was just like, we are heading towards marriage so calling you wifey or you calling me hubby is not serious enough; He was like, you are my fiancé, we are going to get married.”

In addition, Sidem talked about how Vybz has an amazing heart, that he is incredibly kind and caring, and that she likes to refer to him as an angel since he is the angel of her life. She added that she could not help but feel happy and satisfied when she was around him. 

The social worker also finds it difficult to comprehend their engagement because being engaged to Vybz is a dream come true for her. As a matter of fact, she started communicating with Vybz in 2015, but it was not until she visited Jamaica in 2019 that she had the opportunity to meet him.

Furthermore, she discussed how complicated their relationship is as a result of his imprisonment, adding that she is unable to see or speak with him when she wants to.

Despite such difficulties, Sidem continued to lift her spirits by telling herself that waiting for him is not that difficult when she knows what she wants and where her heart is.
