The two have been the focus of numerous speculations that they are at odds.
Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber recently posed for several photos, one of which showed Selena hugging Hailey, and the two’s antics had the internet in a frenzy.
In photographs taken by photographer Tyrell Hampton, the two women are seen getting close to one another and posing all cute and friendly for the camera. Someone really can’t tell whether their act is all genuine or just for a show.
As you are all aware, these women have or used to have a connection to Justin Bieber. The former is now the Canadian singer’s ex-girlfriend, and the latter is currently his wife.
The two women have additionally been the focus of several rumors regarding their individual connections with Justin. Some accused Hailey of taking him from Selena, while others believed Selena could not move on.
From 2011 to 2018, Selena and Justin had an on-and-off public relationship, and almost everyone knows how their relationship is always the talk of the town.
However, this changed after the now-former couple decided to part ways indeed this time, and Justin went on to have a relationship with Hailey and later tied the knot in September 2018.
The “RHODE” founder also recently had a sit-down interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. The model addressed the accusations that were spread by fans about her relationship with Justin and claimed that she had taken or “stole” him from the “Kill Em with Kindness” singer.
She said at that time, “It’s all respect. It’s all love. Neither of us owes anybody anything except respect. I respect her a lot, and I think there are no expectations. I respect her. Everybody on our side knows what happened, and we’re good, and we can walk away from it with clarity and respect.”
This may be the first time they get along together, but this isn’t the first time they both subtly showed support for one another, trying to die down such below-the-belt rumors.
As we previously reported, Selena was ELLE’s September cover girl last year, and Hailey liked the cover shot of her, which was posted on Instagram.
She has also previously liked a photo of the singer celebrating her “Rare” singles in 2019 and a snap of her getting ready for the American Music Awards later that year. She likewise liked a shot of Selena in March 2021 when she appeared on the cover of Vogue.
Both women also shut down any hypothesis of dramatization circulating between them after Selena released her song “Lose You to Love Me,” and Hailey later posted a picture of the Summer Walker track “I’ll Kill You” in October 2019.
Hailey made it clear in an Instagram reply that there is no meaning behind it, and it’s pure coincidence, “please stop with this nonsense … there is no ‘response.’ This is complete BS.”
Selena then released a statement as well about it during her Instagram live later that week and said, “I do not stand for women tearing women down, and I will never, ever be by that. So please be kind to everyone. It doesn’t matter what the situation is.”
