Andy Cohen recently expressed his views on Kathy Hilton, one of the “friends” of the cast members of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” leaving the reality show.
In an interview with US Magazine on Thursday, Cohen decided to become candid about his initial reaction after hearing Hilton’s statement that she won’t be returning to the reality show if Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne do.
“Everyone who’s on the show, I want them to be excited about being on the show and have a level of a desire to be on the show and feel great about it,” he said.
“[We’ve] had this situation before with other Housewives who’ve said, ‘Look, this isn’t my group. I don’t wanna interact with X person or Y person.’ And so, it’s totally their decision.”
The Bravo executive further stated that no definitive details about “RHOBH” season 13 had been made, stressing, “It’s kind of a downtime, which is, I think, important between seasons… Especially when the season is so volatile.”
Fans had foreseen Hilton’s departure because she was entangled in a significant controversy concerning her Aspen outburst and made a good rival with Rinna and Jayne because the two had made various charges against her at the time, including using a homophobic slur to refer to a DJ.
During the Season 12 reunion’s finale, the “Pretty Mess” founder claimed, “I see Kathy coming from the dance floor, very upset… I say, ‘Kathy, what’s wrong?’ She says, ‘The DJ’s an old f–king f-g,’ and walked off.”
Cohen also addressed the severe charges, revealing that he had begun an HR investigation into them, but the findings were inconclusive since “it was a case of she-said, she-said.”
The American socialite is also at odds with her half-sister, Kyle Richards, who she clashed with shortly after they finished shooting the reunion episode from September, in which Rinna slammed Kathy for criticizing the entire cast, including Kyle and her family.
