Pom Klementieff's Career

Pom Klementieff is an actress who has made her name in the film industry. She has been acting since her early teens and is now an established star in the Hollywood industry.

Klementieff began her acting career in the 2007 French independent film “Après Lui,” for which her part lasted three days to shoot. During one scene, she was instructed to push someone down a flight of steps but instead tumbled herself, and director Gal Morel kept that shot in the final cut.

Her first leading role was in the 2009 French film “Loup,” and she also has another cinematic tale about staying in a camp hours away from the nearest hamlet, where temperatures plummeted well below zero.

She bonded with local nomads, dealt with real wolves, got to ride a reindeer, and swam in a lake with a horse during filming. (7) This demonstrates that she will take tremendous measures to accurately depict her character, making her deserving of a seat in Hollywood.

True enough, after multiple efforts, hard work, and sacrifices, Klementieff made her Hollywood debut in Spike Lee’s film entitled “Oldboy” in 2013, an adaptation of the South Korean film of the same name, in 2013.

Her involvement in the film is minor, but it is significant given what she went through, including boxing training, after finding that her part involves martial arts. For two months, she trained three hours a day for an on-screen battle with co-star Josh Brolin.

Klementieff has since pursued further Hollywood auditions while also continuing taekwondo after the film, and as of the summer of 2014, he holds a purple belt.

Her boxing skills were put to use again in 2015 when she appeared in the film “Hacker’s Game.” She made a sacrifice for this time by applying her own make-up and selecting her own wardrobe because the film did not have money to provide it for her.

Her other film credits include “Ingrid Goes West,” “Sleepless Night,” “Love Lasts Three Years,” “Silhouettes,” “Radiostars,” “Paris Or Perish,” “Uncut Gems,” “Thunder Force,” and a cameo in “The Suicide Squad.”

The actress has also appeared in a number of television shows. She had a role in “Pigalle, la Nuit” for eight episodes, “Black Mirror” and “Westworld” for three episodes.

Klementieff’s most recent role is in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise after joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe production. She plays the role of Mantis, a mutant with antennae, bug eyes, and the ability to sense the emotions of others.

Despite not being able to join the first film, she joined in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” which was released in 2017. The film was a huge success, grossing over $870 million at the box office. (8) She has also garnered a large following on social media due to her role in the said film, which earned her international fame.

The actress then reprised her role in “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame,” and most recently, in the 2022 film “Thor: Love and Thunder.” Fans will be able to see her on the big MCU screen once more as she reprised her role in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” which is now in post-production.

She will also star in “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” which is in post-production as well, and currently filming “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two,” which is set to be released in 2024.
