Windham-Burke's financial struggles are a reality for many families going through divorce.
Things haven’t been going well for Braunwyn Windham-Burke lately as she is going through a tough time financially. The former cast member of the “Real Housewives of Orange County” is reportedly broke and struggling to provide for her seven children.
A new court filing that The U.S. Sun obtained claims that Windham-Burke is now reliant on family members to help her pay the necessities of life, including her kids’ expenses.
It was also asserted that because her estranged husband, Sean Burke, no longer provides her with any financial support, she is unable to support her seven children or herself.
Additionally, according to the papers, Burke has been the reality star’s sole source of financial security since she was 20 years old. “I have relied on [Burke] to make all financial decisions for 23 years, and I have effectively been kept in the dark regarding the true extent of our business interests and assets.”
With her seven children in need and her ex-husband supposedly making $65,000 in gross monthly income, Windham-Burke is now requesting $10,000 in alimony payments from him.
In a recent interview, the former housewife revealed that she only has $2,900 in the bank and is struggling to make ends meet. She also stated in her testimony that since being divorced, she no longer enjoys a luxurious lifestyle, which includes trips to Europe and shopping extravaganzas.
Aside from the alimony, she likewise demands her ex-spouse to foot the bill for her legal fees. In response to her request for financial assistance, although Burke agreed to pay spousal support, he wished for the court to “reserve for future determination the issue of support payable to” him.
After 23 years of marriage and in October of this year—two years after coming out as a lesbian in 2020—Windham-Burke filed for divorce from Sean. Seven children—Bella, Rowan, Jacob, twins Caden and Cureen, Koa, and Hazel—were born to the former married couple.
Remember when during Season 15 of “RHOC,” the alum left Sean for a different woman? And to make matters worse, she moved in her lover while making her ex-husband stay permanently in the guest room.
Although the Bravolebrity first declared a trial separation from Burke in the summer of 2021, the formal separation date was recorded as October 13, 2022. She is currently in a relationship with Jennifer Spinner.
