Everyone has felt jealousy at one time or another, and the former housewife is no different.
It’s no secret that Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Judge have experienced their fair share of turmoil over the years, yet they remain close friends. In light of this, it should not be surprising that Gunvalson had some jealousy when Judge returned to “The Real Housewives of Orange County.”
In an interview with US Magazine, Gunvalson said that she was envious of Judge’s comeback to Bravo’s popular reality series while advertising her recent success with AirSculpt body sculpting.
“I was jealous, mad,” she stated. “I thought the phone would be ringing for [me]. I’m like, ‘Hello, Andy [Cohen], you’re not calling me!'”
While admitting her jealousy over her friend’s recent participation in the show, the former “RHOC” star still expresses happiness for her. “I’m so happy for her,” she added. “She really wanted it more than me. She’s good TV.”
From season 1 through season 14, Gunvalson appeared on “RHOC,” whereas Tamra made her debut on the show in season 3 in 2007 and departed the show one day after Vicki announced her exit in January 2020.
Many “RHOC” fans speculated that Gunvalson’s demotion from a regular cast member to a “friend” in Season 14 was the reason for her sudden exit.
The two have remained friends off-screen, and earlier this year, they appeared together on camera for season 2 of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.”
As we previously reported, Judge announced her return to the Bravo hit reality show back in July after taking two seasons off. Having experienced the support of the viewers during her time on “Ultimate Girls Trip,” she was overjoyed to return to the program at that time.
This isn’t actually the first time Gunvalson commented about her friend’s return on “RHOC.” Back in August, the former housewife admitted that she sobbed after hearing the news.
At that time, she also stated that she felt a little left out because she was disappointed about not going back to “RHOC,” noting that in addition to sobbing over her friend’s accomplishment, she likewise cried because she didn’t get the call to return.
“Of course, I’m excited for her. I would be a bad friend if I wasn’t, and she thinks that I wasn’t supporting her enough by going back on [but] that’s not the case,” the Coto Insurance founder explained.
“Yes, I have FOMO (fear of missing out). I’m like any other woman that would be feeling that way. I’m also, now … it’s been three or four weeks later that she called me and told me she’s going back on. The main thing I did was cry. I didn’t get the call [to come back].”
Gunvalson’s admission of jealousy is understandable. She has been with the show for a long time and has seen many of her costars come and go. It is only natural that she would feel a little left out when someone else receives the attention that she desires.
Reactions to Admitting Jealousy: Vicki Gunvalson On Tamra Judge's "RHOC" Return
I'm not happy about it either. I stopped watching the show before because of her and not watching now because of her. In my opinion, she's just nasty 🤢 and doesn't bring anything worth watching to the show.
