His representative confirmed the tragic incident and released a statement in multiple news outlets, saying, “We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today.”
In addition, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office confirmed and reported that on Sunday, at around nine in the morning, police were called to a severe injury along the Mount Rose Highway in Reno.
The sheriff’s office also said that the actor was “the only involved party in the incident.” Investigation into the incident’s circumstances is now being conducted by the sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
The Carano and Murdock families, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, and Hillary Schieve, the mayor of Reno, were just a few of the persons who received appreciation from his family. They also thanked the hospital staff who cared for him.
The “Hawkeye” star was in the area because he has owned a home in Washoe County for some time. On New Year’s Eve, unfortunately, a storm that reached that part of northern Nevada produced a lot of snow and cut off power to more than 31,000 people.
Renner is best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and he has also starred in films such as “The Hurt Locker” and “The Bourne Legacy.”
